Lok Sabha Elections Phase 4 polling: 63.41% approximate voter turnout was recorded in Phase 4 of Lok Sabha Election 2024.
The election has crossed the halfway point in terms of seats going to polls as 259 seats are still left to complete the voting process.
For the first time since the abrogation of Article 370, people cast their vote in Jammu and Kashmir's Srinagar Lok Sabha constituency.
Lok Sabha Elections 2024 Phase 4 Voting: Top points you should know
1) Approximately 63.41% voter turnout was recorded in Phase 4 of Lok Sabha Election 2024.
2) A total of 1,717 candidates were in the fray in phase 4 of the Lok Sabha polls, for which 4,264 nominations were filed for 96 parliamentary seats. Maximum nomination forms were received from Telangana (1,488) followed by Andhra Pradesh with 1,103 nominations from 25 constituencies.
3) A case was filed against BJP candidate from Hyderabad Lok Sabha constituency, Madhavi Latha after her video asking burqa-clad Muslim women to reveal their faces at a polling booth in order to match identities with the voter ID cards went viral on the internet.
4) A Sivakumar, who is YSR Congress Party's Tenali MLA and a candidate for state assembly elections, slapped a voter after the latter called out the legislator for jumping the queue at a polling booth located in the Guntur district in Andhra Pradesh.

5) High-profile contests in the fourth phase include former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, from Kannauj, Union ministers Giriraj Singh (Begusarai, Bihar), Nityanand Rai (Ujiarpur, Bihar), and Raosaheb Danve (Jalna, Maharashtra).
6) Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury and former cricketer Yusuf Pathan of the Trinamool Congress are up against each other in Baharampur in West Bengal. BJP's Pankaja Munde is contesting from Beed, Maharashtra.
7) Also in the spotlight are AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi in Hyderabad, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh Congress president YS Sharmila in Kadapa.

8) Trinamool Congress's Mahua Moitra, who was expelled from Lok Sabha amid cash-for-query allegations, is seeking re-election from Krishnanagar in West Bengal. In Asansol, the battle is between film star-turned-politician Shatrughan Sinha and BJP's veteran leader SS Ahluwalia.
9) In 2019 Lok Sabha Elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance had won 40 of the 96 seats that are voting in the fourth phase.
10) The voter turnout in the first three phases of the Lok Sabha elections 2024 was 66.14 per cent, 66.71 per cent and 65.68 per cent, respectively.
