India's External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar voted in India's capitalNewDelhiinthe sixth phase of Lok Sabha elections on May 25 (Saturday).
After casting his vote, Minister S Jaishankar also received a certificate since he was the first male voter to exercise his right to vote at his designated polling booth.

"I was the first male voter in this booth," said S Jaishankar,whileholding his certificate in his hands.
Foreign Minister S Jaishankar said that he is confident that the voters of the national capital will once again vote for the Modi government and bring it back into power.

"We want people to come out and cast their votes as this is a decisive moment for the country. I'm confident that the BJP willcome backto power in the polls," said the foreign minister.
He also shared his photograph with the certificate on social media platform X.
The voting for the sixth of India's seven-phase elections began on May 25 across 58 constituencies of Lok Sabha, the lower house of Indian parliament directly elected by the people.

The voting is currently underway for all 7 Lok Sabha constituencies of Delhi, 14 seats of northern Uttar Pradesh state, all10statesof northern Haryanastate,8constituencies each in eastern states Bihar and West Bengal, 6 ineasternIndia's Odisha, four seats in Jharkhand and1seat in Jammu and Kashmir up in the country's north.
The last phase of Lok Sabha elections will take place on June 1andthe counting of votes willtake placeon June 4.
