Lok Sabha Elections 2024 Phase 6 Voting LIVE updates: The voting for the sixth of India's seven-phase elections began on May 25 across 58 constituencies of Lok Sabha, the lower house of Indian parliament directly elected by the people. The voting is currently underway for all 7 Lok Sabha constituencies of Delhi, 14 seats of northern Uttar Pradesh state, all 10 states of northern Haryana state, 8 constituencies each in eastern states Bihar and West Bengal, 6 in eastern India's Odisha and four seats in Jharkhand and 1 seat in Jammu and Kashmir up in the country's north.

By the end of May 25, the voting will be completed on 486 of the 543 Lok Sabha seats. The remaining 57 Lok Sabha seats will go to polls on June 1, the seventh and final phase of polling.
The voting for the Anantnag constituency of Jammu and Kashmir was previously scheduled to be held on May 7 but was deferred due to adverse weather conditions.
Some of the key seats in this phase include New Delhi, North-East Delhi, North-West Delhi in the national capital, Sultanpur and Azamgarh in Uttar Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag-Rajouri, West Bengal's Tamluk, Medinipur, Haryana's Karnal, Kurukshetra, Gurgaon, Rohtak and Odisha's Bhubaneswar, Puri and Sambalpur.
The key candidates in this phase include- Dharmendra Pradhan (BJP), Manoj Tiwari (BJP), Kanhaiya Kumar (Congress), Maneka Gandhi (BJP), Mehbooba Mufti (PDP), former Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar (BJP), Naveen Jindal (BJP) and Rao Inderjit Singh (BJP).
According to the Election Commission of India, a total of 889 candidatesfrom 8 states and union territories are in the fray for 58 Lok Sabha constituencies.
Meanwhile, the third and final phase of polling will also be held for 42 assembly constituencies of Odisha that will conclude the race to power for the corridors of state capital Bhubaneswar.
TheLok Sabha election2024 is being conducted across seven phases that commenced on April 19, followed by phases on April 26, May 7, May 13, May 20, coming to the current phase and then concluding on June 1.
The counting is scheduled to be heldon June 4.
