An unusual scene was seen in Maharashtra on Friday (Apr 26) where a voter, along withhis monkey,arrived at a polling booth to vote.

The video garnered mixed reactions on social media.On X,some users questioned whether bringing an animal to a polling booth was allowed."Man.... Just for a photoopdon't get into the wrong side of the law...Forrest officials would take him away and worst file a case as well," userAvyakta Bhairava wrote on the microblogging site.
"Did the man bring a candidate along?" wrote another user.
Under the second phase of the Lok Sabha elections, votingis taking placeacross 13 states and Union Territories (UTs). Till 1 pm, Tripura hadrecorded the highest voter turnout at 54.47 per cent.
