PM Modi at a rally in Gujarat saidthat Mani Shankar Aiyarhad told "people when he visited Pakistan - "remove Modi"from the way and then see what happens to India-Pakistan peace".
While Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi demanded an apology fromAiyarto PM Modi, the Prime Minister and several BJP leaders went on to target the Congress veteran in BJP rallies and official events.
"What did he mean by removing me from the way? And what is my crime? That I have blessings of the people?" the Prime Minister said.
Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar's remark on Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been met with much condemnation from political leaders across party line.
Meanwhile, campaigning for the first phase of Gujarat assembly elections wrapped up today, PM Modi was seen addressing multiple rallies in Gujarat talking about many other instances wheneminent leaders had called him inappropriate names.
