Former AAP leader Shazia Ilmi has tendered an apology to senior advocate Amit Sibal, son of former union minster Kapil Sibal, in a criminal defamation case against her.
Shazia Ilmi joined the BJP in 2015.
AAP chief and Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal and his deputy Manish Sisodia had earlier apologised to senior Congress leader Kapil Sibal in the same case.
Amit Sibal had filed a defamation suit against Arvind Kejriwal for alleging that Kapil Sibal had a conflict in seeking to revise a tax demand on telecom major Vodafone.
Arvind Kejriwal had written to Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and Kapil Sibal expressing regret for ''unverified allegations" made against them.
After the AAP chief tendered apologies to the two leaders, the defamation cases filed against him were withdrawn.
Arvind Kejriwal had also apologised to Finance Minister Arun Jaitley who had accused of financial irregularities in the DDCA during his tenure as its President. A bitter legal battle between the two over defamation cases in the courts came to an end after the union minister accepted the apology tendered by the Delhi chief minister.
Kejriwal had earlier also apologised to Akali Dal leader Bikram Singh Majithia which resulted in the resignation of prominent AAP leader Bhagwant Mann.
