BJP demands 50% waiver on coronavirus testing during meeting with Amit Shah

Delhi BJP chief Adesh Kumar Gupta said that the party suggested charges at private hospitals should be fixed.
Union Home minister Amit Shah held a meeting on the management of COVID-19 situation at the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) today.
During the meeting, the BJP demanded that 50 per cent charges should be waived off on coronavirus testing which was approved by minister Amit Shah, BJP chief, Adesh Kumar Gupta
said.
The Delhi BJP chief said that the party also suggested charges at private hospitals should be fixed.
"Home minister Amit Shah has constituted a committee which will submit a report within two days and based on the report, price capping will be done for private hospitals," Gupta informed.
Gupta added that Amit Shah said that by June 20, Delhi government will start conducting 18,000 coronavirus tests per day.
Meanwhile, the Himachal Pradesh health department said that there are 182 active cases in the state with the total number of cases rising to 527 along with 6 deaths.
In Assam, 40 new coronavirus cases were reported taking the total number of cases to 4,158 including 1,960 recoveries and eigh deaths. Accoridng to to health officials the the number of active cases in the state stands at 2,187.
The West Bengal government ordered the regulated market in Siliguri to remain shut for the next seven days after COVID-19 cases were detected.
In Rajasthan, 78 new coronavirus cases were reported along with two deaths in the last 24 hours taking the total number of cases to 12,772. The death toll in the state has risen to 294 with the number of active cases rising to 2,847
