Army chief General Bipin Rawat has said Kashmir is being radicalised, and that the Army is addressing it.
He blamed social media for the problem.
"J&K government, police and administration are concerned; trying to ensure people are weaned away," ANI reported Rawat as saying.

He added however that the situation in Kashmir is improving, saying "what is happening" only shows the "frustration of terrorists".
There have been a number of militants gunned down in Kashmir in recent months.
At the same time, the number of attacks on security forces, infiltration attempts across the border, and the number of casualties amongst the security forces have also gone up.
As have reports of locals pelting stones at security forces as they take on militants.
Rawat was speaking in Jammu, where he presented the President's Standard to the 47 Armoured Regiment.
Rawat said the Army was following the government's approach in Kashmir and that the NIA raids were a part of that.
"Whatever success it (the NIA raids) achieved will emerge in future," Rawat added.
He also added that the Army had a task to perform and that it would continue to do so.
