Akshay Kumar installs bio-toilets on Juhu beach after wife Twinkle gets trolled on Twitter

Last year in August, actor-turned-author of 'Mrs Funnybones' Twinkle Khanna got slammed for tweeting of photo of a man openly defecating on the Juhu Beach whereshe had gone for a morning walk.

In her tweet, she wrote,“Good morning and I guess here is the first scene of Toilet Ek Prem Katha part 2 #WhenYourWalkGoesDownTheToilet”

Her tweet was criticised and termed asinsensitive as many felt thatthe slum-dwellers had no choice but to defecate in the open as there are no public loos in that area.

Twinkle, though, hadreverted back saying that the public toilet is just 7-8 minutes away from that area.

Now her husband, actor Akshay Kumar has come to her rescue. The actor has sponsored bio-toilets on the Juhu Beach. Akshay's film 'Toilet: Ek Prem Katha' addressed the importance of building public loos and tried to spread awareness against open defecation.

Akshay has teamed up with Shiv Sena leader Aaditya Thackeray and spend around 10 lakh for installing public toilets on Juhu and Versova beaches. The toilets have bio-digesters so there will be no stench on the beach and it will help in keeping the area clean.
