The total number of coronavirus cases in India climbed to 46,433 on Tuesday with 3,900 people testing positive for COVID-19, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

The country has recorded 195 new fatalities in the last 24 hours. This is the biggest single-day spike in the number of positive cases and deaths.
According to the data published by the ministry on its portal, the total number of COVID-19 positive cases in India rises to 46433 including 32134 active cases, 12727 cured/discharged/migrated and 1568 deaths.
According to the health ministry data updated in the morning, the highest number of confirmed cases in the country are from Maharashtra (14,541), followed by Gujarat (5,804), Delhi (4,898), Tamil Nadu (3,550), Rajasthan (3,061), Madhya Pradesh (2,942) and Uttar Pradesh (2,766).
The number of confirmed cases has gone up to 1,650 in Andhra Pradesh and 1,259 in West Bengal.
