A 17-year-old boy, identified as Sahil and the only child of Deputy Commissioner of Police Shilwant Nandedkar, tragically committed suicide early Sunday morning. He was found hanging from a ceiling fan in his home. He left a note on the mirror that read, "I enjoyed this life and body. I want to restart. I am not quitting." Sahil was preparing for competitive exams and was recognised as one of the top performers in his class.
Discovery of the tragic incident
Deputy Commissioner of Police Shilwant Nandedkar found his son, Sahil, unresponsive in his locked bedroom around 6 am on Sunday. Concerned by no response, he looked through the window and saw his son hanging. He quickly notified the police and family members. The door was broken down, and his body was taken to the medical college, where he was declared dead, as reported by TOI.

Here's what happened
Following the Dussehra celebration with family and friends on Friday, Sahil had dinner with his parents and then he went to his room to study. Before taking this drastic step, he left a note on the mirror that read, "I enjoyed this life and body. I want to restart. quitting," and locked the door from the inside.
Ongoing investigation
Following the autopsy, his body was returned to the family, and the last rites were held at the Pratapnagar crematorium. The Vedantnagar police have registered a case of accidental death and are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident at the family’s residence, known as 'Jignyasa' in the Snehnagar area.
