<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">What once was the peak, is now just the beginning.

Paramount and Warner Bros. shaped over a century of culture. By combining them, we aren't rewriting history — we're equipping these iconic studios with a more powerful engine. Together, we are Skydance: a creative-first home for bold, quality storytelling.

We chose this name for a few important reasons. First and foremost, as we bring Paramount and Warner Bros. together, we wanted to preserve what has made each of these studios iconic. Both have distinct identities, extraordinary legacies and brands that have resonated with audiences for generations. We never wanted a new corporate identity to diminish, alter or overshadow either one. Instead, we wanted a name that would give the combined company an identity of its own while allowing Paramount and Warner Bros. — and all our extraordinary brands — to remain in the spotlight.

We have big goals for Skydance, and we intend to pursue them with passion, imagination and a willingness to take smart risks. At the same time, we will honor what makes Paramount and Warner Bros. special — giving both studios the opportunity to grow, tell more great stories and bring those stories to even broader audiences around the world, powered by the scale and capabilities of Skydance.

I couldn’t be more excited about what we’re going to build together.</p>&mdash; David Ellison (@davidellison) <a href="https://x.com/davidellison/status/2106006299909505523?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">October 2, 2026</a></blockquote>

She went on to star opposite Cary Grant in Hitchcock's masterpiece "North by Northwest." Saint was considered a surprise choice to play a Hitchcock blonde, the double agent femme fatale who beguiles Grant. But she pulled it off, even though she never worked again with the Englishman, who was notorious for putting his leading ladies through hell and for controlling his actors to the last detail. "He worked with me from the outside in," she later said. “My hair, my makeup, my shoes, my jewelery, my purse, my gloves, everything. And just from creating that exterior for me, he gave me the sense of a spy lady.” - Timeless performance - Saint's storied career also included work with director Otto Preminger, when she played opposite Paul Newman in "Exodus" in 1960. Two years later she was Warren Beatty's love interest in John Frankenheimer's "All Fall Down." With Hollywood at her feet, Saint "could have been a contender" for superstardom -- to echo the most famous line from "On the Waterfront" -- but instead she chose to step back to raise her family with director Jeffrey Hayden. Indeed her eldest son, Darrell, was born just two days after she won her Oscar. The brilliance of Saint's incarnation of Edie, whose brother is lured to his death by the Brando character, has come to be seen by critics as the stand-out performance of a film once revered for its male roles. The restrained Saint could not have been more different to the intense method mumbling of Brando. "He was adorable -- really adorable, but a little frightening," she later said of her enigmatic co-star. "I felt that he could see right through me," she told Turner Classic Movies (TCM) in 2013. More than half a century later, Saint made a big screen comeback as Superman's adoptive mother in the 2006 blockbuster "Superman Returns," when she was in her early 80s. And she was still busy into her mid-90s, playing a small part in the supernatural fantasy "Winter's Tale" alongside Colin Farrell and Russell Crowe, and as a mother superior in the nun drama "Mariette in Ecstasy," which came out in 2019. But having first developed her acting chops in live television dramas, TV remained her preferred medium. She won an Emmy in 1990 for her role as a rich widow in the acclaimed miniseries “People Like Us.” - 65-year marriage - Saint was born on July 4, 1924 in Newark, New Jersey, to Quaker parents whom she credited with developing her sense of discipline. She entered Bowling Green State University with plans to become a teacher but left with a degree in dramatic arts after discovering a passion for theater. Saint trained in New York at the Herbert Berghof Studio and then the Actors Studio -- the home of method acting -- which was co-founded by Kazan. A rarity among Hollywood couples, she and Hayden's marriage lasted for 65 years until his death in 2016. With two stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Saint said her longevity had brought extra depth to her work. "The longer you live, the smarter you get, because you've been around, you've seen things. "You've gone through different emotional experiences in your own life, and hopefully, you understand things better," she told TCM. "And that makes you a better actress."

<p>Over her seven-decade career the ever-elegant Saint caught the eyes of influential filmmakers, including Alfred Hitchcock and Elia Kazan, building a legendary resume in film as well as television, which also earned her an Emmy.</p>

<h2>From farm to fashion</h2><p>One of Nishant's viral reels begins with him walking barefoot through a muddy field, carrying a basket used for scattering seeds as he works around the crops. Dressed in grey shorts and without a shirt, he appears completely in the rural setting.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>The clip then takes an unexpected turn as he transforms his look, posing in a series of stylish outfits.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>In another viral reel, Nishant takes a more direct approach to his idea of fashion, and writes “Gaon ke ladke can't dress well”.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>The statement is quickly challenged when he appears in a carefully assembled look featuring a crisp white shirt, light blue denim, a printed tie, boots and a long coat.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Also Read: </strong><a href="https://www.wionews.com/photos/jeffrey-archer-passes-away-5-essential-bestsellers-by-the-author-that-everyone-must-read-1791270519462"><strong>Jeffrey Archer passes away: 5 bestsellers by the author that everyone must read</strong></a></p><p>&nbsp;</p>

Nishant Kerketta, a farmer from Jharkhand, has taken over the internet with his fashion statement. Instead of opting for expensive studios, he uses rural landscapes for posing with stylish outfits.

A muddy paddy field is an unconventional place for a fashion statement, but Nishant Kerketta is challenging that perception. The farmer and fitness enthusiast from Jharkhand has found a growing audience on Instagram by bringing together two very different sides of his life: agriculture and fashion. His reels often show him working in the fields before transitioning into sharply styled looks, and turning rural landscapes into unexpected backdrops. Rather than going for a large studio and expensive lights, he has made his fields, village homes, and open roads an important part of his online identity. Actor Abhishek Bachchan attended Ariana Grande's concert, and the credit goes to his daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan. We guess that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was probably there with them too. While the Bachchan family chooses to keep their private life away from the spotlight, in a rare moment, Abhishek revealed how his daughter got him to listen to Taylor Swift. In a chat with BBC Asian Network, Abhishek was asked about his favourite musical artists, and to this, he answered, “Kishore Kumar is a personal favourite. I love listening to Hindi film music, especially the older ones: RD Burman, SD Burman, Kalyanji Anandji, Laxmikant Pyarelal, Bappi Lahiri, they are all just brilliant. I enjoy that.” He then added that he also gets to listen to singers like Taylor Swift because of his teenage daughter.

<p>Filmmaker Luv Ranjan has always had a knack for discovering fresh, relatable talent that clicks instantly with the audience. Right from his debut hit Pyaar Ka Punchnama to his upcoming film Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar, he has consistently proved that taking a chance on new faces pays off. With Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar, he is once again bringing a burst of fresh energy to the big screen, backing six young actors in a vibrant, youth-centric romantic comedy that is already generating strong buzz.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Reflecting on his core philosophy when it comes to launching new talent, Luv Ranjan kept it simple and grounded: "How will new stars or directors be created if no one gives them a chance? People took a chance on me when I didn't know anyone in this city. You have to pay it forward to create new talent. When people ask, 'Why work with newcomers?' my answer is: 'Why not?'"</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>The casting process for Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar was a meticulous journey focused on getting the right talent together. "We auditioned and cast them over a period of six to eight months. Most had some prior training. After casting, the workshops were primarily handled by the film's director, focusing mainly on script readings," Ranjan shared. When asked about the key advice he gives to young actors stepping into the industry today, he explained the importance of clarity and intent: "I always tell newcomers to be very clear about why they entered the industry in the first place. Understanding the crucial difference between coming here to become an actor versus coming here to become a star is the most important thing for any new face."</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>While today’s aspiring actors have access to tools and exposure, Ranjan feels it comes with its own unique set of challenges compared to previous generations. “Not in terms of intrinsic preparedness or talent — they are simply products of their time. Today's actors benefit from greater societal exposure, social media, and higher general awareness regarding casting and styling. However, while they have far more tools and information at their disposal than actors did 15 to 30 years ago, they also face significantly more distractions.”</p>

<p>Addressing the industry debate on whether producers should stick to playing it safe at the box office, Ranjan believes taking calculated risks on new faces is necessary for Hindi cinema to keep growing. "What is safe? No one can guarantee success today. Established stars can give you a ₹50 crore opening or an ₹8 crore opening depending on the content. But more importantly, if you don't bring in newcomers, where will the next&nbsp;</p><p>generation of stars come from?"</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>He further highlighted why Hindi cinema continuously needs new faces to sustain its ecosystem: "There’s no lack of talent, but every six to seven years you need a fresh wave of actors as current stars age. Unlike the 1990s when actors did multiple films a year, top stars today do one film every year or two. Having a reliable pool of new actors allows us to make more films."</p><p><br>Sharing his personal enthusiasm for championing fresh talent, he added, "On a personal level, I love working with new actors and new directors. Their energy is incredible — they’re passionate, resourceful, and ready to go to any length to make their first film special."</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Lastly, weighing in on the ongoing debate around content versus star power, Ranjan offered a sharp perspective on how the two work hand in hand: "No, sleeper hits have always existed. “Pyaar Ka Punchnama” happened 15 years ago and “Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety” happened eight years ago. While strong content is essential to win over audiences, stardom acts as a massive amplifier. A good film with non-stars will find its audience, but that same good film with a superstar becomes a record-breaking blockbuster. Stardom magnifies success."</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Co-produced by Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg, Pehla Pyaar Doosri Baar promises a fresh, relatable story about youth, love, and togetherness. The film arrives in theatres nationwide on October 23, 2026.</p>
