Thousands lined the streets of UK city Birmingham on Wednesday to pay an emotional farewell to hometown hero Ozzy Osbourne as the heavy metal hellraiser was laid to rest. Black Sabbath frontman Osbourne, who earned the nicknamed the "Prince of Darkness" and once bit a bat while on stage, died on July 22 at the age of 76. He had been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2019 and died 17 days after playing a final gig to a sold-out crowd in Birmingham. Osbourne's funeral procession set off at around 1200 GMT on a route planned with the rocker's family through the English city. Chants of "Ozzy! Ozzy! Ozzy!" could be heard, with one fan crying out "we love you Ozzy!" as his coffin -- sitting in a stately black Jaguar hearse topped with flower arrangements -- and other vehicles crawled by. The procession, which earlier passed the star's childhood home in the city's Aston area, was accompanied by a live brass band performance by local musicians from Bostin' Brass. Fan Reece Sargeant came with friends to say goodbye. "I think it was important to come and pay our respects.... Ozzy and Black Sabbath really put Birmingham on the map," he said. The 16-year-old told AFP the band's last concert had been "out of this world". Osbourne famously once said he wanted his funeral to be a celebration of his life and not a "mope-fest". The procession paused at the Black Sabbath bench -- an art installation featuring headshots of each member on a bridge also named after the band. Visibly emotional family members including his widow Sharon Osbourne laid flowers at the bench and read some of the written tributes that have been left there along with balloons and flowers. Thousands of fans have gathered at the bridge in recent days, mourning the death of the musician who was instrumental in pioneering heavy metal. The cortege, led by police motorbikes, then continued its slow journey towards a private funeral service.

The Running Man: Glen Powell breaks down why his character is relatable and gritty, 'I like the ordinary guy'

<p>Filmmaker Christopher Nolan is facing criticism for his decision to shoot parts of his upcoming film <i>The Odyssey</i> in Western Sahara. The area is considered “non-self-governing" by the United Nations and largely controlled by Morocco. Nolan’s latest project- an adaptation of Homer’s Greek epic- is one of the most anticipated films of next year. However, his choice of location has drawn sharp condemnation from activists, film bodies, and human rights groups.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>According to a report in Variety, some key portions of the film have been shot in the city of Dakhla, situated in the Moroccan-administered Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab region.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><h2>Why is Nolan being asked to stop shooting in the region?</h2>

<p>Dakhla is located within the borders of Western Sahara- a region known to have an unresolved colonial legacy and is also the home to Indigenous Sahrawi people who have been seeking independence for decades.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>The Western Sahara International Film Festival (FiSahara), which operates out of Sahrawi refugee camps in Algeria, has urged Nolan and his team to halt shooting in that region. “Dakhla is not just a beautiful place with cinematic sand dunes. First and foremost, it is an occupied and militarised city whose Indigenous Sahrawi population is subjected to brutal repression by the Moroccan occupation forces," the festival said in a statement.</p><p>Calling the production’s presence “a form of complicity," the festival further stated, “stop filming in Dakhla and stand in solidarity with the Sahrawi people who have been under military occupation for 50 years and who are routinely imprisoned and tortured for their peaceful struggle for self-determination."</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Sahara director Mara Carrin added, “By filming part of <i>The Odyssey</i> in an occupied territory classified as a ‘journalistic desert’ by Reporters Without Borders, Nolan and his team, perhaps unwittingly, are contributing to Morocco’s repression of the Sahrawi people and to the Moroccan regime’s efforts to normalise its occupation of Western Sahara. We’re sure that if they understood the full implications of filming a high-profile movie in a territory whose Indigenous peoples are unable to make their own films about their stories under occupation, Nolan and his team would be horrified."</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Javier Bardem, who has been an ally and a past participant of FiSahara, also extended support to body and shared the statement on Instagram. He wrote, “For 50 years, Morocco has occupied Western Sahara, expelling the Sahrawi people from their cities. Dakhla is one of them, converted by the Moroccan occupiers into a tourist destination and now a film set, always to erase the Sahrawi identity of the city. Another illegal occupation, another repression against a people, the Sahrawi, unjustly plundered with the approval of Western governments, including the Spanish. Free Sahara Now (sic)."</p>

The Western Sahara region is considered ‘non-self governing’ by the UN. The region is known to have an unresolved colonial legacy and is also the home to Indigenous Sahrawi people who have been seeking independence for decades.

Filmmaker Christopher Nolan is facing criticism for his decision to shoot parts of his upcoming film The Odyssey in Western Sahara. The area is considered “non-self-governing" by the United Nations and largely controlled by Morocco. Nolan’s latest project- an adaptation of Homer’s Greek epic- is one of the most anticipated films of next year. However, his choice of location has drawn sharp condemnation from activists, film bodies, and human rights groups. According to a report in Variety, some key portions of the film have been shot in the city of Dakhla, situated in the Moroccan-administered Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab region. Why is Nolan being asked to stop shooting in the region?

<p>Donald Trump is not done discussing the cancellation of The Late Show. Days after he had celebrated the cancellation of Stephen Colbert’s late-night show on CBS, he took to Truth Social to clarify that he was not the reason behind the show going off air. He even said that after Colbert, Jimmy Kimmel, and Jimmy Fallon too will face similar heat.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><h2>Donald Trump reacts on the cancellation of Stephen Colbert’s show</h2><p>While most pointed out that The Late Show was cancelled due to political pressure, Trump said it was due to lack of talent.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>“Everybody is saying that I was solely responsible for the firing of Stephen Colbert from CBS, Late Night,” Trump wrote on his platform, Truth Social, on Tuesday night. “That is not true! The reason he was fired was a pure lack of TALENT, and the fact that this deficiency was costing CBS $50 Million Dollars a year in losses — And it was only going to get WORSE!”</p>

<p>He added that other late-night shows, including NBC’s The Tonight Show and ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live, will follow suit. “Next up will be an even less talented Jimmy Kimmel, and then, a weak, and very insecure, Jimmy Fallon,” Trump wrote. “The only real question is, who will go first? Show Biz and Television is a very simple business. If you get Ratings, you can say or do anything. If you don’t, you always become a victim. Colbert became a victim to himself, the other two will follow.”</p><h2>Jimmy Kimmel reacts to Trump’s post</h2><p>Kimmel, who is currently on vacation and has entrusted guest hosts to take over the show in his absence, responded to Trump’s post on Instagram.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>“I know you’re busy Sharpie-ing the Epstein files, but this seems like a weird way to tell people to watch Matt Damon and Ken Jennings on an all-new Who Wants to Be a Millionaire tomorrow night at 8|7c on @ABC,” Kimmel wrote.</p>

<h2>The Late Show cancelled</h2><p>Earlier this month, CBS announced it will end The Late Show, hosted by Colbert over the last decade, in May 2026. The channel stated that the decision was purely due to financial issues. “This is purely a financial decision against a challenging backdrop in late night,” the network said in a statement. “It is not related in any way to the show’s performance, content or other matters happening at Paramount.”</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Colbert has been known to be a vocal critic of Trump and has called the US President often on his show.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Three days prior to the cancellation, the host aired a segment calling out CBS’s parent company, Paramount, for its $16M settlement with Trump, a deal that Colbert dubbed “a big, fat bribe.” The next day, Skydance CEO David Ellison met with the FCC to discuss the company’s proposed merger with Paramount. Following the cancellation, the FCC approved the merger.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Colbert started hosting The Late Show, taking the baton from David Letterman, in 2015. He had earlier hosted the news satire show The Colbert Report on Comedy Central. As of July, Colbert has hosted the show for 10 seasons on CBS.</p><p>&nbsp;</p>

Donald Trump took to Truth Social to deny his role in the cancellation of The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. Trump said that show was cancelled due to ‘lack of talent’ and added Jimmy Kimmel and Jimmy Fallon's shows would face similar fate soon.

Donald Trump is not done discussing the cancellation of The Late Show. Days after he had celebrated the cancellation of Stephen Colbert’s late-night show on CBS, he took to Truth Social to clarify that he was not the reason behind the show going off air. He even said that after Colbert, Jimmy Kimmel, and Jimmy Fallon too will face similar heat. Donald Trump reacts on the cancellation of Stephen Colbert’s show While most pointed out that The Late Show was cancelled due to political pressure, Trump said it was due to lack of talent. “Everybody is saying that I was solely responsible for the firing of Stephen Colbert from CBS, Late Night,” Trump wrote on his platform, Truth Social, on Tuesday night. “That is not true! The reason he was fired was a pure lack of TALENT, and the fact that this deficiency was costing CBS $50 Million Dollars a year in losses — And it was only going to get WORSE!”

<p>If you’ve watched Queen of Tears, then you definitely know Kim Soo-hyun. The actor has starred in several acclaimed shows and has won numerous awards. Despite his massive fandom, Kim Soo-hyun has also faced plastic surgery allegations. However, the actor has firmly denied all the rumours.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><h2>Bi Rain</h2><p><br>Bi Rain, whose real name is Jung Ji-hoon, is a highly acclaimed Korean actor. He has also appeared in several Hollywood movies such as Speed Racer and Ninja Assassin. While he never actually underwent plastic surgery, he once shared how close he came to considering it when he was a child.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Rain said, “But when I was young, everyone said I’m ugly.'' He added further, ''I almost got plastic surgery. Park Jin Young told me to go.” That very suggestion turned out to be the reason why Rain didn’t do it.''</p><h2>Jang Keun Suk<br>&nbsp;</h2><p>Jang Keun Suk is a versatile performer, equally skilled at acting and singing. He has repeatedly proven his talent in various K-dramas and films, and even released his debut single, Let Me Cry in Japan, along with songs like Star and Emotions. He, too, has faced plastic surgery rumours, specifically, allegations of a nose job. Addressing these rumours, the actor said,''I just thought of one. We both had rumours saying that we had nose jobs, which we denied."&nbsp;</p>
