The Supreme Court rejected Bollywood star Jacqueline Fernandez’s plea seeking a cancellation of the Rs 215 crore (Rs 2 billion approx) money laundering case filed against her. The song is included in the narrative and picturized on Ajay from his late-90s film, Sailaab. Duniya Haseeno Ka Mela features twice on the show. There is a treat for those who grew up in the 90s watching Bollywood films in Aryan Khan’s latest The Ba***ds of Bollywood. The show which premiered on Friday has created quite a lot of stir online, especially two scenes involving two songs from the 1990s. One clip has Raghav Juyal singing Kaho Na Kaho to an embarrassed Emraan Hashmi. The other one comes near the climax and features Bobby Deol and the song Duniya Haseeno Ka Mela from his hit 1997 film Gupt. Duniya Haseeno Ka Mela in The Ba***ds of Bollywood The song Duniya Haseeno Ka Mela was originally part of Bobby Deol’s film Gupt. The song has been very effectively included in The Ba***ds of Bollywood. In the web series, Bobby plays Bollywood superstar Ajay Talvar. The song is included in the narrative and picturized on Ajay from his late-90s film, Sailaab. Duniya Haseeno Ka Mela features twice on the show. Once during a party in the earlier episodes. But its real significance is revealed in the show's climax when it connects Ajay with Mona Singh's character, Neeta. Singh is digitally inserted in the song as a background dancer in the show. The original video from Gupt did not feature Mona. The song comes at a crucial moment during the show’s climax. It has led to a lot of conversation online. What's more, the original song has now been trending on Instagram and music streaming app Spotify. An old video of the song on YouTube has even garnered as many as 5 million fresh views- four days since the premiere of The Ba***ds of Bollywood on Netflix. ‘Meaning of this song has completely changed’ The shocking climax and song’s twist has led to a lot of buzz online. "The meaning of this song has completely changed for me after watching Bads of Bollywood on Netflix," wrote a fan in the comment section. Another added, "I have never seen such an amazing use of old stuff in modern webseries😂. Great work by Son of Shahrukh!!" Even the official account of Netflix India chimed in with: "aaj yeh gaana achanak se yaad aagaya (Today, I was reminded of this song suddenly)."
Dwayne Johnson’s honest confession
Speaking in CBS interview, Dwayne admitted that stepping into a purely dramatic role left him more nervous than any action-packed stunt. “For years I’ve been dreaming about a role where I could rip myself open, not just act, but really live inside the pain and struggles of a character,” he explained. “When Benny and Emily asked me on day one if I was scared, I told them, ‘Yes.’ And that was the truth.” Also Read: D4vd case: US Singer dropped from Spilt Milk festival amid police investigation He described the role as both terrifying and fulfilling, a departure from his earlier career choices where box office numbers dictated his path. “I was chasing success for years, but I wasn’t fulfilled,” he said. “This film forced me to confront that.”
A story that resonates with Dwayne’s past
Portraying Kerr required more than just physical transformation, though Johnson endured hours of prosthetics and makeup to embody the fighter’s look. To channel the despair Kerr faced, he revisited his own childhood struggles, including being evicted with his mother at the age of 15. “That memory ripped me open in ways I didn’t expect,” he revealed. Also Read: Tom Holland suffers injury on the set of Spider-Man: Brand New Day
At Venice Film Festival
The Smashing Machine had its world premiere at the Venice International Film Festival, where it received a thunderous 15-minute standing ovation. Industry insiders immediately drew comparisons to Brendan Fraser’s emotional return with The Whale, fueling speculation that Johnson could be heading toward his first serious run at awards season. Also Read: Christopher Nolan elected President of Directors Guild of America
More than a sports drama
While the movie traces Kerr’s rise and fall in the MMA world, director Safdie emphasizes that the story is about more than just fighting. “It’s about what happens when victory itself becomes your enemy,” he explained. For Johnson, that message resonates deeply. “It’s not just another role,” he said. “It feels like a whole new book in my life, and I love it.” Distributed by A24, The Smashing Machine will release in theaters on October 3.

The Yadav community has blocked the roads in Gurugram to express their displeasure with the title of Farhan Akhtar's upcoming film. They have been demanding a change in the title of the movie from 120 Bahadur to 120 Veer Ahir to highlight the history of the Yadav community in the war. Mahendra Singh Patwari, one of the protesters, expressed the Yadav community's demand, saying that Farhan Akhtar's movie '120 Bahadur' should be changed to '120 Veer Ahir', and it should also end with a tribute to the "martyrs" of the Yadav community. Also read: Zubeen Garg funeral: Wife Garima Saikia Garg breaks down while paying tribute While talking to ANI, Mahendra Singh Patwari said, "I am a member of the Ahir Regiment. '120 Bahadur' was first announced in September 2024, with Farhan unveiling his look as Major Shaitan Singh. The project is billed as a tribute to the indomitable spirit of the Indian armed forces. Shot across Ladakh, Rajasthan, and Mumbai, the makers have seamlessly recreated the war front. From the frozen terrains to battlefield silence, every frame carries weight. Actor Raashii Khanna will be seen in a special appearance opposite Farhan. Set against the backdrop of the legendary Battle of Rezang La, the teaser opens with rising tensions between India and China before Farhan's character declares, "Hum piche nahi hatenge (We will not step back)." Echoing the courage and sacrifice of Indian soldiers, another dialogue from the teaser reads: "Yeh wardi sirf himmat nahi, balidan bhi mangti hai" (The uniform not just asks for courage, but also sacrifice). The teaser pays tribute to the 120 soldiers of the Charlie Company, 13 Kumaon Regiment, who held their ground against an estimated 3,000 Chinese troops. "A moment in history where courage refused to fail," the makers shared with the teaser, underlining the unwavering courage and efforts of the forces who fought bravely for the country. '120 Bahadur' is directed by Razneesh 'Razy' Ghai and produced by Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar, and Amit Chandrra. The film is slated to release in theatres on November 21, 2025
