About Dhurandhar

Dhurandhar follows the story of an Indian spy named Hamza who infiltrates Pakistan to join Rehman Dakait's gang. The film is inspired by real-life events, ranging from the 2001 Parliament attack and the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack, to 2009. Ranveer Singh plays Hamza in the film, while Akshaye Khanna plays Rehman Dakait.

Written, directed and co-produced by Aditya Dhar, it also stars R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi in lead roles. Manav Gohil, Danish Pandor, Saumya Tandon, Gaurav Gera and Naveen Kaushik feature in supporting roles.

Dhurandhar's hit song Shararat has found a new fan- The Jonas Brothers. Nick Jonas recently shared a video of the trio dancing to the song. Here is how the film's lead actor Ranveer Singh reacted to the video.

We are now convinced that American singer Nick Jonas has a desi heart. Married to Desi girl Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Nick often shares videos of himself vibing to Indian hits. The latest video has him and members of his band, The Jonas Brothers, dancing to the hit song Shararat from Ranveer Singh starrer Dhurandhar. The video has Nick, Joe and Kevin dancing to the hit song. Nick captioned the video as, “New pre show hype song unlocked.” The song is sung by Jasmine Sandlas, Madhubanti Bagchi and Shashwat Sachdev. It was picturised on Ayesha Khan and Krystle D'Souza in the film. Ranveer Singh reacts to Nick Jonas' video In a few hours after the video was shared online, Ranveer posted a hilarious comment on the post, and said, “Hahahahahaa JIJUUUU JAAANE DEEEEE (laughing face and red heart emoticons).” Nick replied to Ranveer and wrote, “Bhai! Dhurandhar title track is up next! Love to you and the family! Let's go!” For the uninitiated, Nick Jonas is lovingly called ‘Jiju’ (brother -in -law in Hindi) by Indian paparazzi and the term of endearment has become popular over the years.

Tom Cruise is treading into uncharted territory again. The action star is not performing high-octane action stunts but dancing with a shovel in his hands in Alejandro G Iñárritu’s new film Digger.

The first teaser of Digger was released on Thursday, and gives a very brief but impactful glimpse of Cruise. The promo is a sharp turn from the actor’s recent screen persona.

Tom Cruise dances in the new Digger teaser

The footage is short and opaque. Cruise appears old, possibly through prosthetics, moving awkwardly and rhythmically at the same time. There is no dialogue, no clear setting or story highlighted but it shows the Hollywood icon dancing with a shovel in his hand.

The film has been described by Iñárritu as a “comedy of catastrophic proportions,” a phrase he used earlier this year while speaking about the project in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

The filmmaker also termed the film as “brutal,” “wild,” and “insane,” adding that it is meant to be funny, unsettling, and visually striking all at once. It brings Cruise back to Comedy after decades.

Plot details have been tightly guarded, but a report in Variety states that Cruise plays a man attempting to convince others he can save humanity before an impending disaster.

Tom Cruise steps away from the action mold in Digger

For Cruise, Digger marks a noticeable departure from the action genre- which has been Cruise playground for years. Over the past decade, his output has been dominated by physically demanding action roles like the Mission: Impossible films, Top Gun: Maverick, and Jack Reacher, among others.

With Digger, Tom seems to be stepping out of his comfort zone.

The screenplay was written by Iñárritu alongside his Birdman collaborators Alexander Dinelaris and Nicolás Giacobone, with playwright Sabina Berman also credited. Apart from Cruise the film also stars Sandra Hüller, Jesse Plemons, John Goodman, Riz Ahmed, Emma D’Arcy, Michael Stuhlbarg, and Sophie Wilde.

Digger is scheduled for release in October 2026.

Digger has Tom Cruise moving out of the action genre after decades and doing a key role in a comedy film. The first teaser was dropped on Thursday, while the film will be releasing in October 2026.

Tom Cruise dances in the new Digger teaser The footage is short and opaque.

The residency will take place in September and October 2026.

‘Came out magical’

In a statement shared on Instagram, the band revealed the circumstances that led to the making of the new version of the hit song.

“We are releasing a very special 2025 vertical music video for I Want It That Way! We were on the set of our tour promo production and started to really, really feel that 1999 nostalgia being in front of this plane in an airplane hanger in our all white wardrobe and decided to try and capture this performance in one take at the end of a very long 2 days of shooting. Think it came out pretty magical,” the joint statement said.

When the first season of Four More Shots Please! was released in 2019, it quickly grabbed attention for the unique and luxurious way it told the story of four urban women, each very distinct, living unapologetic lives in Mumbai. At the time, there was a real scarcity of women-led shows that openly talked about women and their experiences with sex, divorce, cheating and even how casual hook-up is a casual and should take as a normal thing. Still from Four More Shots Please

Meanwhile, Damini continues to grow as a podcaster, Umang focuses on expanding Umami while still searching for a relationship as she signs on to online dating and is doing swipe right and left, and Anjana manages her professional and personal life with confidence. However, the spark that she feels she missed in her twenties is back when she meets Rohan (Dino Morea). He teaches her how to ride a bike, they have great sex, and he becomes the gateway to fun and freedom as she discovers new things.

Four More Shots Please is not that Four More Shots Please

Season 4 is progressive in every aspect. But it lacks at so many points. The issues the show addresses becomes repetative and are unnecessarily exaggerated. Dialogues and performances that were once impactful now seem forced. The show touches upon many topics, yet it addresses nothing. One such example is when Damini is considering freezing her eggs. While it is a relevant topic today, the show just mentions it for the sake of the trend. The inconsistency in the story makes you question why this season was even made, what was the core motif behind these stories, leaving it feeling like a rushed attempt to just conclude the series.

Four More Shots Please

Earlier, it was enjoyable to watch the women live their lives, make mistakes, and fight their battles; what if they were funny; these moments no longer leave that smile. Their experiences are way too unrealistic that I failed to relate to at several points. To the characters that we loved, these ladies in latest season come across as super-rich women gossiping over drinks.

In season 4, entertainment and drama take the front seat with lust and alcohol becoming the core focus. And at last, what these ladies ended up with is a good closure with their partner and friends on their side.

Directors Arunima Sharma and Neha Parti Matiyani, the new season comes with the same uber-cool vibes with sleek and aesthetic places and glamour on the Mumbai streets. All the actor's give their best, but again, they go off-board several times as the characters get stuck in their own mess, confusion, and decisions.

If you have watch first three seasons, then watch the last season for closure. Otherwise, for good fashion.

Directors Arunima Sharma and Neha Parti Matiyani, Four More Shots Please! revolves around four women Damini (Sayani Gupta), Umang (Bani J), and Anjana (Kirti Kulhari), and, Siddhi (Maanvi Gagroo) and they live, love and fall in the uber-cool Mumbai.

When the first Avatar was released in 2009, filmmaker James Cameron introduced the world to the wonders of Pandora. The VIsual effects in the film, and the world that Cameron created, were a watershed moment for Cinema at large as many witnessed the greatness of CGI and how it makes films visually rich. It became an inspiration for makers worldwide as they explored realism and alternate universes and worlds in their stories. Cameron captured the imagination of the audience by introducing Pandora and its people, called Na’vi. Alien-like blue creatures who welcomed Jake Sully -one from the Sky people- humans- into their own as he fell deep in love with Na’vi princess Naytiri. Cameron returns to the big screen this Friday with Avatar: Fire and Ash, the third instalment in the franchise, hoping to tap on the love that the previous two films had received. But is the film a worthy sequel in the franchise?

The film, like its prequels, remains true to its technical supremacy and James Cameron and his team present a visually stunning film. Some of the frames (best viewed in IMAX) are breathtaking and the scale at which the scenes have been conceptualised is worthy of praise. But can a film simply work on its visual excellence? Shouldn't there be a story to propel the film’s overall appeal?

The plot of Avatar Fire and Ash

The film picks up from where Avatar: The Way Of Water had ended. Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) and his family have been living with the water tribe and coping with the loss of their eldest child, Neteyam. While Jake believes in strengthening his tribe and collecting weapons to fight the Sky People, Naytiri (Zoe Saldana) has withdrawn herself completely, mourning the death of her son. They are both now protective of their remaining three children and of Spider.

Meanwhile, Col Miles Quaritch(Stephen Lang), now an Avatar, leads Sky -people in hunting down Sully and Spider and extracting Pandora’s flora and fauna- to create Amrit- the ultimate elixir for life. There is also a rival Na’vi tribe headed by Varang(Oona Chaplin), a barbaric leader, who doesn't want to follow the rules of Pandora and functions in tandem with Sky people.

What works in Avatar: Fire and Ash

Avatar franchise has always been visually rich, and Fire and Ash is equally vibrant. The canvas is huge, and the visuals, especially the ones that highlight the magnanimity of the ocean and its beings, are breathtaking and immersive. You can sense the amount of technical finesse that’s involved in making these characters realistic. The scenes where the Sully kids explore the underwater and connect with other beings in the ocean are beautiful.

Among the characters, Col Quaritch and Varang seem to get better lines and thus have more fun on screen as they create havoc in Pandora. A scene involving Jake Sully, Spider and Naytiri near the climax also stands out for its poignancy.

What does not work in Avatar: Fire and Ash

Expectations are always high for a film which is part of a hit franchise. And in most cases, the sequels disappoint and are unable to match these expectations. Avatar: Fire and Ash, apart from its visual excellence, has a terribly predictable plot and a very jaded storyline line almost giving you a sense of deja vu about past films in the franchise. How much can you marvel at the visual landscape of a film when the story is boring and lacks any kind of surprise element? At 197 minutes, the film is purely an indulgence on the makers' part, who, it seems, just want to show off its technical brilliance and conveniently forget to have a proper story in place.

Final word

Let Pandora rest. It's been an exhausting 16 years for the people of Pandora, and now for the audience. Cameron’s Fire and Ash stays true to its scale, but forgets to add a cohesive storyline. With multiple characters and subplots, it becomes difficult to keep up with all that’s happening- simply because the sc reenplay is not engaging. It is time, perhaps, to bid the Na’vi community farewell and let them live in peace in Pandora.

Avatar: Fire and Ash is now running in theatres all across.

James Cameron returns to the big screen with the third installment of Avatar in Avatar: Fire and Ash. While the film remains visually stunning, it lacks an original story and gives the audience a sense of deja vu from the previous films.

The plot of Avatar Fire and Ash The film picks up from where Avatar: The Way Of Water had ended.
