<h2>About Assi</h2><p>The legal and courtroom-focused drama is directed by Anubhav Sinha. It features Pannu as Advocate Raavi, alongside Manoj Pahwa and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub. The movie centres on Raavi, a fearless lawyer who fights for justice in a case of sexual assault, combating a corrupt system, patriarchy, and a society that often overlooks such crimes.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><h2>WION's review of Assi</h2><p><i>WION's </i>Nikita Toppo wrote in her review, "Assi brings out a harrowing and unsettling story that is gripping for sure. It is not an easy watch, and the performances of the actors are overall on point. However, while trying to address too many issues, including justice, trauma, parenting, and vigilantism, Anubhav Sinha’s film diverts from its original intention. But despite its flaws, Assi has the potential to keep the viewers stuck to their seats till the end."</p>

Tapsee Pannu and Kangana Ranaut's long-standing feud The feud between Pannu and Kangana Ranaut began in 2019, which stemmed from public criticisms by Kangana and her sister Rangoli Chandel, labelling the Tappad actress as a "sasti copy" (cheap imitation), "she-man," and "B-grade" actress amid the nepotism fight. Dismissing the reports of a rift with the actress, Panny said that she never fought. ‘’A fight happens when two people clash. I never clashed. You tell me, have I ever said even a single line against her? Her sister called me a ‘cheap copy.’ She said that since I don’t earn as much money here, that makes me cheap. If she is such a brilliant actress, I have no problem being called her copy. You can take out any statement of mine. I haven’t said anything against her,” Pannu said. When asked if their long-standing feud gave an extra benefit to the star kids, Taapsee stated, "I don’t know about them, but someone or the other must have benefited in some way. As I said, from my side, there was never any fight. But I do feel that someone must have gained from it." The 76th Berlin Film Festival draws to a close on Saturday after 10 days in which the 22 films in competition were often overshadowed by a row over the role politics should play in filmmaking. The controversy erupted at the beginning of the festival when jury president Wim Wenders answered a question about the German government's support for Israel by saying: "We cannot really enter the field of politics." At the same press conference he had earlier said that films had the power to "change the world" but in a different way from party politics. "No movie has ever changed the ideas of a politician, but we can change the idea that people have of how they should live," Wenders, 80, said. But his comments in response to the question on Israel prompted a storm of outrage. Award-winning Indian novelist Arundhati Roy, who had been due to present a restored version of a 1989 film she wrote, pulled out of the event, branding Wender's words "unconscionable" and "jaw-dropping". On Tuesday, a letter signed by dozens of film industry figures, including Javier Bardem, Tilda Swinton and Adam McKay, condemned the Berlin festival's "silence on the genocide of Palestinians". - Films overshadowed - The letter, drafted by the Film Workers for Palestine collective, accused the Berlinale of being involved in "censoring artists who oppose Israel's ongoing genocide against Palestinians in Gaza and the German state's key role in enabling it". Director Tricia Tuttle, in her second year at the helm of the Berlinale, has firmly rejected the accusations, describing some of the claims in the letter as "misinformation" and "inaccurate". She called for "cool heads in hot times" and expressed fears that the controversy was crowding out conversation about the films. Among the standout entries in the official competition was "We Are All Strangers" by Anthony Chen. Set in Chen's native Singapore, the film is a moving family drama which playfully satirises the yawning social disparities to be found in the city-state's glittering skyscrapers. German actress Sandra Hueller, who gained international acclaim for her roles in "The Zone of Interest" and "Anatomy of a Fall", received audience plaudits for her turn as the title character in "Rose" by Austrian director Markus Schleinzer. The black-and-white drama tells the story of a woman passing herself off as a man in rural 17th-century Germany to escape the constraints of patriarchy. - Repression in Iran - Juliette Binoche, playing a woman caring for her mother with dementia, also moved cinemagoers in "Queen at Sea" by American director Lance Hammer, who had not made a feature film since 2008. Sensitively, the film portrays the devastation Alzheimer's disease inflicts on a patient's loved ones. "My husband's got dementia, so I have had a lot of background," a visibly moved actress Anna Calder-Marshall, who plays the ailing mother in the film, told a press conference. The first major event of the film calendar also provided a platform for Iranian filmmakers to address the deadly crackdown on anti-government protests in their home country. Director Mahnaz Mohammadi, who has spent time in Tehran's notorious Evin prison, presented "Roya", a searing portrayal of conditions in the jail and the traces they leave on prisoners' psyches. Dissident director Jafar Panahi, who won the Cannes Palme d'Or for "It Was Just An Accident", also spoke from the Berlinale to denounce the Iranian government's repression of protestors, which international organisations say has left thousands dead. "An unbelievable crime has happened. Mass murder has happened. People are not even allowed to mourn their loved ones," Panahi told a talk organised as part of the festival. "People do not want violence. They avoid violence. It is the regime that forces violence upon them," Panahi said. In December he was sentenced to one year in prison and a travel ban in Iran but has expressed his intention to return nevertheless.

I’ve replayed decisions and second-guessed myself. ‘I shouldn’t have done this. I never should’ve that.’ No more. Out of pure survival, I am forced to stay in the present. I fell in love for the first time when I was about your age. I fell in love with acting. That love eventually got me through my darkest hours, my darkest days, and my darkest year. I still love my work, I still look forward to it, and I still want to get in front of a camera and play my part. My work doesn’t define me, but it excites me. Find something that excites you. Eric Dane shared a heartfelt message for his daughters Billie, 15, and Georgia, 14: "Billie and Georgia, these words are for you. I tried. I stumbled sometimes, but I tried. Overall, we had a blast, didn't we?" He further said, "I see you playing in the ocean for hours, my water babies. Those days, pun intended, were heaven. I want to tell you four things I've learned from this disease, and I hope you don't just listen to me. I hope you'll hear me." In the first piece of advice, Eric encouraged them to live in the present, and the second was to find love in their lives, not necessarily with another person, but it might be their passion or anything they find joy in. For years, I have been wandering around mentally and lost in my head for long chunks of time, wallowing and worrying in self-pity, shame, and doubt. I’ve replayed decisions and second-guessed myself. ‘I shouldn’t have done this. I never should’ve that.’ No more. Out of pure survival, I am forced to stay in the present. But I don’t want to be anywhere else. The past contains regrets. The future remains unknown. So you have to live now. The present is all you have. Treasure it. Cherish every moment," Dane said. Find your passion, your joy. Find the thing that makes you want to get up in the morning and drives you through the entire day. Find your path, your purpose, your dream. Then go for it. Really go for it.” Also Read: Patrick Dempsey pays emotional tribute to friend and co-star Eric Dane: ‘It’s hard to put into words’ Dane’s third lesson is to “choose your friends wisely", and his fourth is to “fight with every ounce of your being, and with dignity. When you face challenges, health or otherwise, fight. Never give up. Fight until your last breath. This disease is slowly taking my body, but it will never take my spirit. Billie and Georgia, you are my heart. You are my everything. Good night. I love you. “Those are my last words,” Dane concluded. Eric Dane: Battle with ALS, cause of his death The actor's family confirmed his passing away and issued a statement to PEOPLE: "With heavy hearts, we share that Eric Dane passed on Thursday afternoon following a courageous battle with ALS. He spent his final days surrounded by dear friends, his devoted wife, and his two beautiful daughters, Billie and Georgia, who were the centre of his world. Throughout his journey with ALS, Eric became a passionate advocate for awareness and research, determined to make a difference for others facing the same fight." I don't feel like this is the end of me.” Prior to this, Dane had said about ALS (Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), “I'm grateful to have my loving family by my side as we navigate this next chapter. I feel fortunate that I can continue working and am looking forward to returning to the set of Euphoria next week. I kindly ask that you give my family and me privacy during this time.”
