Vidyut Jammwal talks about Crakk failure and debt, reveals he worked in a circus

Actor Vidyut Jamwaal had a few tough months after his film Crakk: Jeetega Toh Jiyegaa badly tanked at the box office. Apart from playing the lead role of a hero, Jamwaal was one of the producers and had invested personal money in the movie.

Directed by Aditya Datt, the movie deemed as first-ever extreme sports action film stars Jammwal, Arjun Rampal, Nora Fatehi and Amy Jackson in the lead roles.

Reflecting on his financial losses after Crakk's box officefailure, Vidyut talked about losing 'crores' and what he did after that. In an interview via Zoom, the actor shared, ''Recently with Crakk releasing in theatres and not doing as well as we expected it to – and this is the first time that I produced – I lost a lot of money in it. For me, the most important thing was how will I deal with it. With losing money comes a lot of advice. (From) People who’ve lost money in the past and friends, who really care about you, so for me it was important to disconnect from all the advice.”

Worked at a Circus

After the release of the movie, Jamwaal shared that he went on to work in a French circus. "After the release of Crakk, I went and I joined a French circus, a friend's circus; and spent about 14 days with these elite human beings... I came back home and I sat down and I was like 'Okay, I have lost so many crores and I had no idea I would ever lose it, so what do it do'? And in three months, I am debt-free. It is a miracle."

The actor then shared the advice of one ofhis friends about how to recover from his debt, who suggested the actor not stress about it and should patiently figure out his finances.
