Time to rejoice for Disney fans as ‘Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker’ is headed to its OTT platform, two months earlier than original schedule date.

The movie will now make its digital debut on May 4 globally on Disney+.

The date will also see the arrival of doc series Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian and the final episode of ‘Star Wars: The Clone Wars’.

‘Star Wars’ actor Andrew Jack dies of Coronavirus

This is not the first time that Disney has made changes in its scheduled date as previously they shifted online launch of its latest Pixar movie ‘Onward’ after the film’s theatrical run was cut short by the coronavirus.

‘Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker’ will see J.J. Abrams return as director following ‘The Force Awakens’ and ‘The Last Jedi’.
