Hollywood celebrities are doing their best to seek justice against the brutal killing of George Floyd, in an attempt to raise Black voices on social media and to get people to know more about the ongoing protest.

Celebrities including Selena Gomez, Lady Gaga, Shawn Mandes and Lizzo who are inviting Black leaders and anti-racist organisations to take over their Instagram accounts to amplify black voices.

The initiative will allow those organizations to hold Instagram Live sessions, the opportunity to post important information.

Selena Gomez started the initiative by lending her Instagram to Alicia Garza, co-creator of Black Lives Matter and one of the founders of Black Futures Lab. Garza posted a video on her account explaining the reason behind the protest, and also shared insight on how to provide help and get involved.

"In order for us to change it, we got to join a movement, We all have to stand together and say, 'We won't take it anymore and here's what we want you to do instead,'Garza stated. "We all deserve better and when we're organized and when we have a plan, we can actually change the things that we don't like in the country so that we can make it right."

Lady Gaga shared a post in which she announced that she will give over the Instagram account to the organizations including 'Loveland Foundation', 'Black Lives Matter', 'Campaign Zero', 'Marsha P. Johnson Institute', and others.

"I'm giving over my Instagram account to each of the organizations I've recently donated to, in an effort to amplify their important voices," she wrote.

Canadian singer Shawn Mendes who was spotted protesting in Miami shared her account which is been followed by 56M people to the activist and strategist Zyahna Bryant, who had takenover his Instagram Story.

Lizzo told her followers that she will give her account, "I believe in using my platform to give others the chance to speak,''

George Floyd died on May 25 after police officer Derek Chauvin knelt on his neck for over eight minutes despite the 46-year-old pleading him to let him go. The video of the arrest went viral which sparked protests and riots in Minneapolis and other cities across the United States.
