
On Thursday, a memorial service was held in honour of former footballer George Floyd whose murder has sparked off protest across America. The memorial service was attended by many A-listers from Hollywood.

George Floyd died on May 25 after police officer Derek Chauvin knelt on his neck for over eight minutes despite the 46-year-old pleading him to let him go. The video of the arrest went viral which sparked protests and riots in Minneapolis and other cities across the United States.
Celebrities including Kevin Hart, Kevin Hart, Ludacris, Tyrese Gibson, Tiffany Haddish, Master P and film producer Will Packer attended the service in Minneapolis. Memorial service will continue for few days in Raeford, North Carolina and in Houston, Texas.
Everyone paid their condolence and stood up eight minutes and 46 seconds, the amount of time George was on the ground before his death.

People across the world are protesting against police violence and racism. Several celebrities including Halsey, Camila Cabello, Ariana Grande, Shawn Mendes and others have been raising their voice against the mishappening.
