Malayalam actor Nivin Pauly has gota big relief in the sexual assault case. On Wednesday (Nov. 6), Pauly was absolved from the serious allegation that was levelled against him.
In September 2024, Nivin was booked on charges of rape after a 40-year-old woman accused him and five others of sexually assaulting her in Dubai. The complainant, who is from Ernakulam district in Kerala, allegedly said that the actor assaulted her after promising her a role in a film in November 2023.
However,the actor has gota clean chit from the investigation team. According to reports, during the investigation, it was found that Pauly was not present at the location at the mentioned time and date.
The Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) has submitted a report to the First Class Magistrate Court in Kothamangalam, Ernakulam, stating that Nivin's name has been removed from the list. He was the sixth accused in the report.
However, the investigation is going on against the other five accused in the case.
After Nivin got the clean chit, he shared a gratitude message with all his fans. Taking to Instagram, he shared a post reading, ''Heartfelt gratitude to everyone who stood by me. Thanks for all the love, prayers and support.''

Pauly was booked following the publication of the Justice K Hema Committee report, which highlighted the dire situation of females working in the Malayalam film industry. Several renowned actors, directors and filmmakers have faced sexual assault allegations after the release of the report.

Pauly responded to the allegation calling it false and entirely untrue. He wrote in an Instagrampost, “I have come across a false news report accusing me of abusing a girl. Please know that this is entirely untrue. I am determined to go to any extent to prove these allegations are baseless and will take all necessary steps to bring those responsible to light. Thank you for your concern. The rest will be handled legally.”
