Pop sensation Lady Gaga channelled her inner goth queen as she flaunted black hair, bleached eyebrows and a white ensemble inspired by car parts at the world premiere of her new concert film, Gaga Chromatica Ball, in Los Angeles. The "Poker Face" singer was joined by her fans at Nya Studios, where she previewed the new film.

The concert film captures Gaga’s Los Angeles stop during her 2022 Chromatica Ball Tour, which saw the pop icon take over Dodger Stadium with a blend of her greatest hits and tracks from her 2020 album, Chromatica. The tour, Gaga’s first all-stadium endeavour, comprised just 20 dates, kicking off in Germany in July 2022 and wrapping up in Miami two months later.

At the premiere, Gaga transitioned from her red carpet attire into a sleek black outfit, complete with a sparkling mask. She then participated in a brief Q&A session with Access Hollywood's Scott Evans before the screening. The event, designed as a standing-room-only experience, encouraged guests to dance throughout the film.

“I’m so incredibly lucky to be here with all of you. I’m so excited,” Gaga told the crowd, which consisted of several hundred devoted fans. “This was such a special time. This tour went on during a time that people didn’t think that you could tour [amid the pandemic] and stadiums were packed all over the world and they were sold out, all dressed up and dancing and singing. I’m just so excited for you all to see what we made up close.”

During the Q&A, Gaga revealed that she performed five shows while battling COVID-19. “I shared it with everyone on my team. I said, ‘I don’t want anyone to feel uncomfortable at work and you don’t have to perform and you don’t have to work that day, but I’m going to do the show’ because I just didn’t want to let all the fans down,” she explained. “And the way that I saw it also is like the fans were all putting themselves in harm’s way every day coming to the show.”

Reflecting on the tour, Gaga described it as a pivotal moment in her life and career. “This tour, and the album, in a lot of ways was the end of a time of my life and the beginning of a totally new one. I felt really renewed to do something entirely different,” she shared.

Gaga also teased her current creative endeavours, sharing that she’s “in the studio every single day”. She shared, “I have written so many songs, I’ve been producing so many songs, and it’s nothing like anything that I’ve ever made before.” She expressed her gratitude to the audience, adding, “There’s something really beautiful about knowing that you will be loved no matter what you do.”
