Peacemaker is back! Filming of John Cena-starrer season 2 begins, James Gunn gives update

It's time for Peacemaker 2! After more than two years the first season came to an end and the second season was confirmed,the filming of James Gunn's starrer show has finally kicked off.
DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn shared the exciting news.On Saturday (April 13), the acclaimed director shared a selfie showing Peacemaker's shiny silver helmet.
Sharing the picture, Gunn confirmed in the caption that the shooting of season 2 has commenced.
“Day 1 S2,” Gunn wrote in the caption.
Gunn, quite an active person on social media, also went on to react to a fan, who questioned how he had started working on Peacemaker when he was already working on a Supermanmovie.

Further, theGuardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 director clarified that he will be directing only a few episodes. ''I’ll be directing some of the episodes (I’m directing today). But three other great directors are joining me for the season,'' he wrote.
For the unversed, Gunn directed five episodes of season 1 of the show, that featured Cena as Christopher Smith or Peacemaker. In 2022, when the second season was announced, it was reported that Gunn would write and direct all the season 2 episodes.
Set after the event of 2021Suicide Squad, the first spinoff show from the DC movie revolves around Cena's Christopher Smith, and how peace has been his topmost priority no matter what he has to do for that.
Apart from Cena, the show also features Steve Agee, Danielle Brooks, Freddie Stroma,Chukwudi Iwuji, Robert Patrick, and Jennifer Holland.
