McCary popped the question to Stone in an intimate low-profile setting. Later, he shared a picture of the two on Instagram. In the picture, the two pose together as Stone is seen flashing the ring along with a big smile.

The two met in 2017 on the sets of 'Saturday Night Live' where Stone was part of a sketch which was directed by McCary. The two stayed in touch post the show and soon started dating.
Emma, who is known for her performances in films like 'La La Land', 'The Favourite' and 'Birdman' was earlier dating her 'Amazing Spiderman' co-star Andrew Garfield for a long time before the two called it quits.
In August 2018, Stone got candid about her relationship with McCary in an interview given to a magazine where she talked about her willingness to get married and have kids.
