Jr NTR's Devara: Part 1 is out in the theatres. The Telugu drama was one of the most anticipated South Indian releases of this year that audiences were eagerly waiting to watch.

Apart from NTR, the movie marks the Tollywood debut of Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan.

Directed by Koratala Siva, the action thriller marks NTR's return to the screen after a gap of two years.

The high-on-action movie is set in a coastal village in Maharashtra and tells the story of a fearless man Devara, once a smuggler, who has vowed to never let any person in his village do smuggling again. While Devera disappears, he vows to protect the village and kill those who will go to the high seas for smuggling. The story fast-forwards, Devara's son, Vara grows up and is nothing like his father, who was one of the great men of the village. 

In the movie, Saif Ali Khan plays antagonist Bhairava, who is planning to take revenge on Devara whenever he returns. Janhvi is playing the role of Thangam, Vara's love interest. 

The film also features Prakash Raj, Srikanth, Shine Tom Chacko, and Narain in pivotal roles.

Devara Twitter Review

The film, which features Jr NTR in an action avatar, has piqued fans' attention since the announcement. The movie has now been released on the big screen, and reviews have started pouring in as the moviegoers watched the 'first day, first show'. 

Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh has called the movie mass-appealing. 

In a post, he wrote, ''#JrNTR is an extraordinary talent, #Devara endorses it... Solid writing, terrific action, great BGM, efficient #SaifAliKhan... Second half could've been sharper, but action + twist in finale are super. #DevaraReview.''

So far, the movie has garnered mixed reactions from the audience. Some fans have loved NTR's performance, while others were not much impressed by the second half of the movie.
