
Hours after winning the Mandi seat in Himachal Pradesh for BJP, Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut expressed gratitude to the people for voting for her in a post on social media.
The actress made her debut in the Lok Sabha polls 2024 and was one of the star candidates for BJP. The actress defeated Congress' Vikramadita Singh by a margin of 74,755 votes.
Expressing gratitude to the people of Mandi, Kangana wrote on Instagram that it was the victory of the people, for having faith in PM Modi and BJP.
After winning the Lok Sabha elections 2024 from Mandi constituency, Kangana Ranaut said, as quoted by news agency ANI, “I am emotional at the moment. I am grateful that the people of Mandi elected the BJP and good governance of PM Modi..."
Earlier in the day, as news of her leading in the early phase of counting came to light, Kangana was seen seeking blessings at a temple and from her mother.
The actress, who was last seen in 2023 film Tejas, will soon be seen playing former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in Emergency. She has also directed the film. The exact release date of the film is not known yet.
