
Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana is one of the most awaited projects. After a long wait, the makers have shared the first poster of the movie, confirming the title and release date.
Starring heavyweights Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, and Yash, producer Namit Malhotra announced that the movie will be released in two parts. However, the cast was not mentioned in the movie's first poster.
Ramayana: Part 1 release date
On Wednesday (Nov 6), the film's producer, Namit Malhotra, shared the details of the forthcoming epic.
Sharing the poster of the magnum opus, Namit announced that the film will be released in two parts. Ramayana Part 1 will hit the theatres in 2026, and Part 2 will come out in 2027.
Promising the most authentic, sacred, and visually stunning adaptation of the Hindu epic Ramayana, the producer wrote in the Instagram caption, ''More than a decade ago, I embarked on a noble quest to bring this epic that has ruled billions of hearts for over 5000 years to the big screen. And today, I am thrilled to see it taking shape beautifully as our teams work tirelessly with only one purpose: to present the most authentic, sacred, and visually stunning adaptation of our history, our truth, and our culture – our “RAMAYANA”– for people across the world.''
The caption further reads, ''Part 1 in Diwali 2026 and Part 2 in Diwali 2027.''

Ramayana has been one of the most talked about projects at the moment, especially due to the cast. Directed byTiwari, the movie brings Ranbir, Yash and Sai Pallavi togetherfor the first time. However, there is no official confirmation on the cast from the maker's side yet.
In the movie, Ranbir will be playing the role of Lord Rama,Sai will essay the role of Sita and Yash will be the antagonist Ravana. If reports are to be believed, Sunny Deol is also part of the movie, he will be playing Lord Hanuman.

During his interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, Yash told. "It’s a very fascinating character. I wouldn’t have done it for any other reason. In Ramayana, if you had asked me ‘would you play any other character?’ Probably not. For me, Ravana is the most exciting character to play as an actor, so I really like the shades and the nuances of this particular character. There’s vast scope to present it in a very different way. As an actor, I am very excited. Hopefully, it’s going to be a very unique approach to it."
