Singer Diljit Dosanjh knows how to make even a serious situation hilarious! He gave a befitting response to the Telangana government in his way after he received a notice from the state government directing him not to sing songs that promote alcohol, drugs, and violence.
On Nov. 16, the Chamkila actor was set to perform in Hyderabad when he got a notice from the state government putting restrictions on his songs that mention drugs and alcohol. However, Diljit being Diljit, went on to perform at the concert with the same songs but with a little tweaking.
Without dampening the mood of his fans, the Punjabi singer showed off his creative side as he altered some of his songs, and the result was hilarious yet entertaining.
In one of the viral clips, Diljit tweaked the lyrics of Lemonade. The lyrics of his song say, ''Tainu teri daaru ch pasand aa Lemonade,'' he translated it to, ''Tainu teri coke ch pasand aa Lemonade.''
Another lyric that he changed was, ''5 Taara thekke utthe'' translated to ''5 Taara hotel ch.''

Hailing Diljit for the last-minute tweaking, one user wrote, ''The way he and his team tweaked the lyrics last minute to adhere to the legal guidelines is worth applauding 🫶🫶 he proved that is is Greatest Of All the Times...''
Another user wrote, ''last minute syllabus change.''
Diljit calls out Telangana government
During the concert, the singer indirectly criticised the Telangana government's notice. Interacting with the jam-packed crowd, the singer said that there is no problem when the international stars are coming and singing anything.

In a viral video, Diljit said, "Koi bahar se kalakaar ayega woh jo marzi gaa k jaaye, jo marzi kare koi tension nahi hai. Lekin apna kalakaar ghar aa raha hai, usme tainu pareshani, taang adani hai. Par main bhi ek baat bata doon, Dosanjh ka rab hai, main nahi chhodunga (If an artist comes from outside the country, they can sing anything, do anything, there are no worries. But when an Indian artist sings, then you have a problem; you have to interfere. But let me tell you, there is God. I won't let this go)."
