This is in response to Kardashians' defending their stance on promoting products like slimming teas and etc.

The ensuing verbal debate between The Kardashians and actress Jameela Jamil seems to have taken an ugly turn as the latter responded to the former’s comments in an NYT article by asking them to check their “moral compass”.

In an article published in the New York Times, the Kardashians defended their stance on publicising products like fit teas and similar products. Khloe said, “I don’t live in that negative energy space. Ninety per cent of people will be really excited about the family and the journey and who we are,” and added,
“Well, listen, I am showing you what to do, silly person, 15 repetitions, three times, here’s the move…”

Kim also defended their associations with brands that make such products and said, “If there is work that is really easy that doesn’t take away from our kids, that’s like a huge priority, if someone was faced with the same job opportunities, I think they would maybe consider. You’re going to get backlash for almost everything so as long as you like it or believe in it or it’s worth it financially, whatever your decision may be, as long as you’re O.K. with that.”

To this, Jameela posted a long message on her Instagram and wrote, “Essentially, ‘[F***] the young, impressionable people, or those struggling with eating disorders, we want the money.’ I have been given these same opportunities to [promote] this stuff, and I don’t do it, so they don’t have to. Thank you, next.”

She captioned this post with: “The Kardashians need to check their moral compasses because they appear to be broken. This was the Kardashian response to being asked by the @nytimes about my calling for transparency and responsibility in their extensive work to promote diet culture.”

It had started with Jameela commenting on Khloe's Instagram post that had her posting for a slimming tea brand. The actress called out the social media influencer for setting impossible beauty standards in the minds of young girls who look up to her while herself having access to all services and luxuries to achieve a certain body image.
