West Indies thrashed England by eight wickets in a chase of 264 in the third and final ODI to win the series 2-1 on Wednesday (Nov 6). However, a controversy erupted at the start of the series finale when pacer Alzarri Joseph left the field after a clash with West Indian captain Shai Hope over field placement. This made heads turn with the video of the entire controversy being shared on social media platforms.
Talking about the incident, it took place at the start of the England innings after WI opted to bowl first at the Kensington Oval, Barbados. After the first ball of the fourth over, Joseph wasn't happy with the with the field and said a few words at the end of the follow-through while also waving his arms. On the fourth ball, he bowled a brilliant short-pitched delivery to dismiss Jordan Cox, who edged to WI keeper-captain Hope.
Despite getting a wicket, Joseph remained angry and left the field after the over (i.e. a wicket-maiden). Here is the video:

Joseph's reaction didn't please coach Daren Sammy, nonetheless, the pacer was seen venting out his frustration with one of his teammates at the dugout. He left the field as WI were only with ten fielders but returned after the fifth over. On his return, Joseph was taken out of the attack with Romario Shepherd replacing him.
Eventually, the 27-year-old Joseph ended with match figures of 2 for 45. Shepherd also claimed a two-fer but Matthew Forde was the pick of the WI bowlers, returning with 3 for 35. For England, Phil Salt's 74 and Dan Mousley's 57, along with vital contributions from Jamie Overton, Jofra Archer and Sam Curran, took the visitors to 263-8. At one point, they were reeling at 24-4.
In reply, WI rode on centuries from Brandan King (102 not out) and Keacy Carty (128 not out) to take the home side to an easy eight-wicket win in 43 overs.
