The Benchmark Sensex and the NSE Nifty both ended down today over inflation fears.
Sensex closed 0.07 per cent down at 33,819.50 and the Nifty ended 0.14 per cent lower at 10,382.70.
The stocks witnessed a volatile session on Thursday ahead of the expiry of futures and options contract.

Shares of Gitanjali Gems continued to face selling pressure for the seventh straight session today, falling 58.5 per cent in the past one week.
