
A stunning drone show under the theme "City of Sky, Maybe Shenzhen" was held above Shenzhen Bay Park in China on September 26.
A total of 10,197 drones were used for the show and two Guinness World Records – "The most multirotor/drones airborne simultaneously from a single computer (outdoors)" and "The largest aerial image formed by multirotors/drones" – were made.
In the drone light show, an array of drones created a stunning starry sky. The creation of the floating "Sky City" was the most breathtaking moment of the show.

It was intertwined with iconic elements of Shenzhenlike the city's landmarks, light shows, and scenes of Wing Chun which symbolised the city's limitless future.
After the drone show, the sky was lit by "cyber fireworks" which painted a beautiful picture ofShenzhenas a "City of Miracles, City of Innovation, City of Future".
The drone show has just begun and will continue in Shenzhenduring the National Day Holiday for seven consecutive days. Every day, more than 10,000 drones will light up the sky across five districts.
Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk also praised the drone show on social media and emphasised the technological prowess of China on a global scale.
A few days ago, China created a new world record with a mesmerising show of 7,598 drones which sparkled the night sky and created different images.
The new Guinness World Record for the“Largest aerial image formed by drones” was achieved by China's Zhujian Planning Media Ltd, in co-operation withDAMODA Intelligent Control Technology Co.
The light show, which featured 7,598drones, was held in celebration of the 72nd anniversary of theYanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecturein theJilinprovince in China.
The aerial display took place on September 3 and became the largest aerial image formed by multirotors/drones.
In this aerial show, the number of drones was more than double the record set previously which was 3,191.
In the latest record-breaking drone display, many more of them were lit in the sky and on a tighter schedule.
Before the show, all drones were kept neatly arranged in "take-off boxes" and each box contained 12 drones.

The fleet was controlled by a single laptop and the system monitoring was used to track the status of each drone in real-time.
The drones continued to move across the sky and form images of The Great Wall Of China and a majestic dragon. The drones also paid tribute to the unique culture of Yanbian by creating images of the city flower - Azalea - and traditional dancers.
As per the guidelines, the drones had to keep the images in the sky for at least 20 seconds. However, they managed to hold the record-breaking tiger image for 37 seconds.
