According to MMT, the driver experienced a medical emergency while driving the bus and fell from his seat. Two men on board became concerned. One of the men could be seen approaching the driver and asking, “You alright?”

The second man rushed to the aid from the back of the bus and said, “You gotta get on the brake.” He managed to safely stop the vehicle near Academy Boulevard and Astrozon Boulevard and told MMT dispatch that the driver was having a seizure.

Elaine Sheridan, who works with MMT, praised the two men for their quick-thinking in that situation.

“One that was totally paying attention to the driver's situation and then the other one that just jumped into action and pulled this bus over,” said Sheridan, Denver7 reported. “It's a miracle.”

Sheridan also said that MMT is looking for the two individuals to thank them.

The first responders were quick to arrive at the scene, however, the driver passed away despite their efforts. The driver was identified as TJ Turner, 32, by the El Paso County Coroner's Office.

MMT posted on social media, “Please keep our drivers in your thoughts during this difficult time.”
