Sunday night annual Nobel banquet was a stylish event with ice-themed dinner -- florists, lighting designers and chefs flew in for the special occasion.

The night was kept a secret from the attendees as they got surprised when they reached the venue,Stockholm's Blå Hallen (Blue Hall).

The grand hall is generally used for state visits, balls and other large events.

While there was experimentation in food style and cuisine including offering culinary variations inspired by the northern lights and ice, the florists and decorators werealso inspired by this Nordic theme.

The event started at 19:00 on Sunday and concluded with awarding of the Nobel Peace Prize in Oslo.
