The Israel Defense Force (IDF) dropped fresh footage of the military operation which led to the rescue of four hostages. The Israeli military on Saturday (June 8) said that they rescued four hostages - identified as Noa Argamani, Almog Meir Jan, Andrey Kozlov, and Shlomi Ziv from Gaza - in a “complex daytime operation”. In other news, the Western media extensively covered the oath-taking ceremony of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi as he began his historic third term on Sunday (June 9). Along with Modi, 72 other ministers also took the oath and are now waiting for their duties to be assigned.

North Korea has once again sent hundreds of balloons filled with trash across the border into South Korea. According to a Yonhap News Agency report citing South Korea's military, Pyongyangfloated approximately 310 balloons overnight this time.
