Years after parting ways from actor Tom Crusie, Australian actress Nicole Kidman recently opened up about their 11 years of 'happy marriage'. 
 
The former couple were considered Hollywood royalty back in the day. Kidman who has always refrained from commenting about her marriage to Crusie opened up&nbsp; recently about the couple's time while shooting for Stanley Kubrick's 'Eyes Wide Shut'. 
 
In an interview to The New York Times Magazine, the actress was asked to draw parallels to her personal married life to Cruise to that of the film's plot which revolved around a married couple dealing with infedility. 
 
"If you`re acting those scenes with the person to whom you`re married and doing it as part of this immersive process, can it open up negative feelings that later you maybe wish you hadn`t opened?," the interviewer asked Kidman. 
 
"That fits the narrative that people came up with, but I definitely didn`t see it like that," Kidman responded and added, "We were happily married through that. We would go go-kart racing after those scenes. We`d rent out a place and go racing at 3 in the morning. I don`t know what else to say. Maybe I don`t have the ability to look back and dissect it. Or I`m not willing to." 
 
'Eyes Wide Shut,' which was Kubrick`s final film, notched a Guinness record for a longest constant film shoot - 400 days - by the time it wrapped. 
 
Less than two years later, when Cruise who is now 58-year-old filed for divorce from Kidman in January 2001, fans pored over the film for insights into the couple`s relationship with each other and Kubrick. 
 
Kidman said the film took two years of their time but they "loved working with him.We shot that for two years. We had two kids and were living in a trailer on the lot primarily, making spaghetti because Stanley liked to eat with us sometimes. We were working with the greatest filmmaker and learning about our lives and enjoying our lives on set." 
We would say, `When is it going to end?` We went over there thinking it was going to be three months. It turned into a year, a year and a half," she acknowledged. 
 
Kidman went on to marry musician Keith Urban and shares two daughters with him. Cruise married Katie Holmes and has a daughter with her. Cruise and Holmes split in 2012.

As movie theatres are slowly opening up in the UK, fans and theatre owners are taking precautions and adhering to safety norms while watching films on the big screen. Moviegoers in London though were in for a surprise on Tuesday as Hollywood star Tom Cruise joined other fans to watch the much talked about film 'Tenet'. 
 
The Hollywood legend documented his journey to the theatre amid the COVID-19 pandemic and shared the video clip on Twitter.His post was captioned, "Big Movie. Big Screen. Loved it."

Universal Studios will back Tom Cruise space-set action adventure with $200 Million

In a rather shocking revelation, ‘Mission: Impossible 2’ actress Thandie Newton has opened up about her filming experience with the film’s lead actor, Tom Cruise and it’s not very pleasant.

Actress Thandie Newton worked with Tom Cruise in the film that became a massive hit but she revealed she felt very “insecure” on the sets of the film. “I was so scared of Tom,” she told Vulture.

When Thandie Newton and Tom Cruise were shooting for a scene together and it wasn’t going well as the lines weren’t very good, it made Tom Cruise very angry. Thandi narrated, “So this scene was happening, and Tom was not happy with what I was doing because I had the sh**tiest lines,” she said, adding that the director was unavailable for support because he didn’t speak English.

At one point, she narrated that Tom Cruise got “so frustrated” that he proposed they switch roles, and that she play his character and he’d play hers. “And it was the most unhelpful … I can’t think of anything less revealing. It just pushed me further into a place of terror and insecurity. It was a real shame. And bless him. And I really do mean bless him, because he was trying his damnedest.”

As the day came to an end, she called filmmaker Jonathan Demme and told him how terrible the experience had been. “Jonathan was like, ‘Thandie, shame on you for not backing yourself.’ He was really sweet,” she said.

Tom then gave her a phone call and said, “We’re going to reshoot this next week” while she thought that he would apologise. She added, “And the next time we shot it, I went in there and I just basically manifested all the — because I realized what he wanted. He just wanted this alpha b*tch. And I did as best as I could. It’s not the best way to get the best work out of someone.”

The Hollywood A-lister arrived unannounced in the pop culture gathering's cavernous Hall H along with footage of the long-awaited sequel to the 1986 smash action film that made him a household name. 
 
"You all have asked for many, many years.. I travel around the world, people say, why don't you do another one, when are you are going to do another one?" he said to a rapturous crowd.

"Thirty-four years you guys have been very patient with me, and I felt it was my responsibility to finally really deliver for you." 
 
Footage revealed few plot details, but showed Cruise's Pete 'Maverick' Mitchell as an ageing pilot who refuses to retire, despite failing to rise up the ranks. 
Swooping shots of fighter jets launching off aircraft carriers were "all real" and the result of working closely with US Navy officials, Cruise said. 
 
"I really wanted to give you all an experience of what it is to be inside that aircraft ... It's a love letter to aviation," Cruise said. 
 
The trailer also showed Cruise racing a motorcycle in his iconic leather jacket, and singing with friends in a bar.

Paramount Pictures has set late summer release dates for the next two films, reported Variety.&nbsp;

The studio announced the news on Friday night that ‘Mission: Impossible’ 7 will hit the theatres on July 23, 2021, while the eighth film will release on August 5, 2022.

On January 14, Variety had reported that Christopher McQuarrie was returning to helm both the films from his own scripts with Cruise, who confirmed his return as IMF agent Ethan Hunt.

Jim Gianopulos, Chairman, and CEO of Paramount Pictures expressed his happiness about the upcoming projects.

“We couldn’t be more excited to build on the massive success of ‘Mission: Impossible — Fallout’ by reteaming with Chris and Tom on these next two films, following two successful collaborations,” Gianopulos said.

David Ellison will produce the upcoming films, he had produced the last three films as well.

He continued: "I really enjoyed working with Cruise. He's a really, really nice guy. We had a lot of fun. But ultimately the readers are right. The size of Reacher is really, really important and it's a big component of who he is.

"The idea is that when Reacher walks into a room, you're all a little nervous just for that first minute... so what I've decided to do is – there won't be any more movies with Tom Cruise. Instead, we're going to take it to Netflix or something like that. Long form streaming television, with a completely new actor."

He added: "And I want all those readers who were upset about Tom Cruise to help me out – participate in choosing the right actor for the TV series. We're rebooting and starting over and we're going to try and find the perfect guy."

Vettel is now 67 points behind his Mercedes rival with four races -- worth a maximum 100 points -- to go.

The battle between the two four-times champions looks effectively over, even if there is still fighting talk from Maranello.

"I know that the situation looks impossible," Ferrari team boss Maurizio Arrivabene said on Sunday. "But our job sometimes is to challenge the impossible.

"This is what we are going to do and we try to do for the future four races."

In fact, it could all be over in two weeks' time at the U.S. Grand Prix in Austin, where a win with Vettel finishing lower than second is all Hamilton needs to seal the deal with three races to spare.

"You say nearly (done), so obviously there is still a chance," said Vettel, cutting a resigned figure as he spoke to reporters.

"At the last couple of races we made it a bit too easy for them but also credit to them as they executed well, which is the name of the game.

"We need to look after ourselves and do our bit the next couple of races and then we see."
