Doug Liman set to direct Tom Cruise in film shot in outer space

Filmmaker Doug Liman has taken upon himself a one-of-a-kind task as he has been roped in for a Tom Cruise starrer film that will be shot in outer space. Remember we last told you that Tom Cruise will soon become the first actor in history to be a part of a film that will be shot in outer space in association with Elon Musk’s Space X and NASA. 

Doug Liman will be collaborating with Tom Cruise again in this film after they worked in movies like ‘American Made’ and ‘Edge of Tomorrow’.

Doug Liman and Tom Cruise are collaborators and also share another interesting history as both are pilots and bond over an adventurous spirit. Tom Cruise becomes the first actor to do a halo jump on camera

The space film will have an unprecedented pre-production that will involve training to be able to withstand an outer space flight.

Meanwhile, Elon Musk, in partnership with NASA, will tomorrow launch the SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from Florida carrying two American astronauts at the Kennedy Space Center, an historic rocket born from a groundbreaking public-private partnership that will put the US back in the business of human spaceflight for the first time in a long time.
