You have seen Tom Cruise doing all kinds of stunts in his films but this is quite something. The Hollywood star is now set to shoot a film in outer space after he has reportedly joined hands with Elon Musk.
According to a report in Deadline, Tom Cruise and Elon Muskâs aviation company Space X are in talks with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) for filming a narrative movie aboard a real SpaceX vessel.
The project is being called an âaction-adventure filmâ.
There is, however, no Hollywood studio attached to the project at the moment.
Tom has built a career by doing his own stunts in action films. In âMission Impossible- Ghost Protocolâ, he scaled the Burj Khalifa. In âMission Impossible - Rogue Nation, he had hung off the side of an airplane mid-flight.
In 2018, he injured himself for âMission Impossible - Falloutâ when he broke his ankle after colliding with another building during a rooftop jump.
Tom Cruiseâs âTop Gun: Maverickâ, the sequel to his 1986 hit âTop Gunâ awaits a release.. The film, which was scheduled to hit theatres worldwide in June, has been delayed till December due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The actor is also working on two back-to-back âMission: Impossibleâ films.
