It cannot happen at all, market dynamics are not going to allow that to happen, it's as simple as that."

Chopra was brutal in his assessment and further asserted, "To be very honest, Chris Morris' one ball, when he played last time, was more expensive than the players' salary in other leagues. Is it even possible to compete or compare yourself with the IPL, whether it is PSL, BBL, The Hundred or the CPL? Is it a slightly misplaced judgment?"

" He further opined, "I understand the fans' frustration and it would have been great if there was a result in this Test match. But do remember that this is a three-Test series and there is a lot of cricket left to be played. We cannot make a fast or bouncy pitch for the heck of it and put the conditions in Australia's lap. It is important that when we play at home, we play according to our strengths."

As a result of England's commitment, PCB chairman Ramiz Raja lauded the ECB and shared Pakistan cricket's forward plan.&nbsp;In a video shared by the PCB, Raja didn't just thank ECB for confirming the 2022 tour but also revealed that he is planning to introduce U-19 and Women's PSL along with giving the countrymen a full home season every year.

"I'm thankful to the England Cricket Board (ECB), as it wasn't easy for them. They were under pressure and we became emotional when the pullout took place. Everyone saw how Pakistan made its case, and the result is they came here. The only thing is we and the ECB must walk together because it's important for every board to understand each other, their frustrations, meet the expectations. I think the ECB also understood they committed a mistake by withdrawing, and it was a knee-jerk reaction," Raja said in the video.

"This tour was important, and it's their gratefulness. Coming over here to sort things out and accepting their fault and promising to play two additional T20Is is good news for our fans because I believe Pakistan should have a home season so spectators come and watch and top teams should tour."

"We are also revisiting New Zealand's tour, and when I go to Dubai, we might announce a schedule. However, England and Australia tours are massive breakthroughs, and I expect our side to perform well. I want us to be a proud nation and our fans, our team, and the board to be respected. Also, if we are firm and honest, we need not fear anybody," he said.

Lastly, he also made some big promises and revealed, "In October, hopefully we will launch something like a PSL for Under-19 level. We are very excited because this has not happened anywhere in the world.&nbsp;England will send their Under-19 players, we will look after them. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Thursday (October 21) announced that West Indies women's cricket team will visit Pakistan for three One-Day Internationals (ODI) on 8, 11 and 14 November.&nbsp;

Need to create cricketing bond with BCCI, says PCB chief Ramiz Raja after meeting Sourav Ganguly, Jay Shah

The 2023 Asia Cup in Pakistan will be a 50-over event with the Asian Cricket Council continuing its tradition of holding the tournament in the same format as that particular year's ICC global event, PCB chairman Ramiz Raja said on Monday.

However, the former Pakistan captain also dropped enough hints that there is very little chance of having a bilateral series against India in near future as a "lot of work still needs to be done" to reach a "comfortable level".

Raja recently attended the ACC meet in Dubai where he discussed the modalities of Asia Cup and also had a meeting with BCCI president Sourav Ganguly and secretary Jay Shah.

"The ACC has agreed and approved that the 2023 event in Pakistan will be a 50-over competition and will be held in September. This aligns very nicely with the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2023, which will be held in October and November (in India)," Raja told PCB's official website.

While Raja said that the tournament will be held in Pakistan, chances of India visiting the neighbouring nation is next to nil if the current political climate persists, which is going to be the likely case.

In that case one can expect that like 2018, the tournament will be shifted to Dubai.

"We are looking forward to hosting this tournament in Pakistan and I am confident it will be a well-organised event because this is what the fans want.

"The ACC has also confirmed next year's tournament in Sri Lanka will be played on a 20-over format and will be a prelude to the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2022 to be held in Australia from 16 October to 13 November," Raja added.

"I would like to see our relationship with other boards and the ACC to be strong so that if there is an issue, like we had with the withdrawal of a couple of sides, a strong and joint statement could come out from the ACC platform.

"My message at the ACC was that we should not forget this philosophy and I am optimistic there will be better outcomes in future," he concluded.&nbsp;

In what comes as a huge boost for PCB, the Asian Cricket Council (ACC)&nbsp;have reportedly decided to award the hosting rights of Asia Cup 2023 to Pakistan. As per a report in Cricbuzz, PCB chief Ramiz Raja has confirmed that the tournament will be played in Pakistan.&nbsp;

The decision was taken in the ACC meeting in Dubai on Thursday (October 15) where PCB was represented by chairman Raja. While the 2023 edition of the Asia Cup will be played in ODI format, the 2022 edition will be a T20 event to be hosted by Sri Lanka next year.

The 2023 Asia Cup will be the 16th edition of the tournament. The 15th edition was originally scheduled to be played last year but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Pakistan had the hosting rights for the 15th edition, however, BCCI had expressed its concerns over sending the Indian team to the country and had requested the PCB to shift the tournament to UAE.

The tournament was later moved to Sri Lanka but couldn't take place last year due to the pandemic. The 15th edition will be played in Sri Lanka next year in T20 format before the 16th edition is staged in Pakistan in 2023. However, it remains to be seen if BCCI will give a go-ahead to the Indian team to travel to Pakistan.

India and Pakistan have not engaged in any bilateral series since 201 due to the ongoing political tensions between the two countries.

Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Ramiz Raja said on Wednesday that Pakistan Cricket Board would collapse if Indian government wanted, pointing to sizeable revenue International Cricket Council (ICC) gets from Indian markets.

Raja pointed out that PCB received 50 per cent of its funding from the ICC and the ICC raises 90 per cent of its money from Indian markets. In a way, Raja said that Indian businesses were keeping Pakistan cricket going. If Indian prime minister decided to stop funding, he said, Pakistan cricket would collapse.

"ICC funding means that the body conducts tournaments and distributes the money among member boards," he said as quoted by Pakistani news outlet Dawn.
