After BTS' Jin, BLACKPINK's Jisoo to appear as guest on Lee Young Ji's No Prepare season 2

The mandatory military service of members of the popular South Korean K-pop group BTS is apparently hurting the K-pop industry as a whole. This was remarked by Bang Si-hyuk, the chairman of HYBE, the agency that represents the group. He said in Seoul that the global growth of the music genre is slowing. "The absence of BTS is the first reason. I think it's very clear that the fact BTS is not active as a team is playing the biggest role in bringing about this change in numbers," he said. On December 13 last year, the eldest member Jin became the first member of the group to enter the military service.

What is South Korean mandatory military service?

South Korea maintains a policy of mandatory military service, which requires all able-bodied men between the ages of 18 and 28 to serve in the armed forces for about 18 to 21 months. Women are not required to serve, but can do so voluntarily.

The purpose of military service is to maintain a strong national defence and prepare citizens for emergencies, including possible conflict with North Korea. The country is technically still at war with North Korea, as the Korean War ended in 1953 with a ceasefire, but no peace treaty was ever signed.

Exceptions to the service are made for athletes, musicians, and other public figures who have achieved international recognition for their talents and have made significant contributions to the country's reputation. K-pop star Jungkook from BTS grooves to RRR's Naatu Naatu during live session

Just two months after the personal details of BTS member RM were leaked by a temple monk, his privacy has again been invaded. Recently, it was revealed that an employee of the South Korean railway company (Korail) had taken out some personal details of the K-pop star, like his home address and telephone number. And more shockingly, the employee has been taking out the details of the pop star since 2019.

Big Hit reaction on this:

After the shocking news took the internet by storm, BIG Hit entertainment was quick to react to the shocking news as they revealed that they would take the necessary action against the employee for stealing RM's personal info.

RM has also reacted to the news by sharing the screen grab of the article with a simple emoji.

What Korail has said:

Bighit will be taking action against the Korail employee for stealing and looking at RM’s personal info

hope this leads to that employee getting jail time lmao thats the only reasonable punishment pic.twitter.com/dkXv3629pI

As per the news outlet, SBS, the Korail employee was found guilty of searching RM's personal information in the company’s passenger database during an internal audit.

''I simply looked at it because I was curious. I am reflecting on my mistakes.'' KORAIL employee said.

After the investigation, they found out that the employee has been doing this since 2019 and in the period of three years, they have looked at the RM's profile over 18 times.

ARMY reacted to the online leak:

Reacting to the news, one Twitter user wrote, ''Where is the privacy? what bout his safety? it was genuinely in 3 years. that’s crazy??? someone who invades privacy, better immediately take action for legal action, it’s not worth to be left alone. namjoon doesn’t deserve it.”

Another wrote, ''at the very least, 3 years in jail please.''

''Thank you bighit let’s hope this doesn’t happen again 😠'' the third user wrote.

Not the first time for RM:
Recently, it was revealed that an employee of the South Korean railway company (Korail) had taken out some personal details of the K-pop star, like his home address and telephone number. And more shockingly, the employee has been taking out the details of the pop star since 2019. Big Hit reaction on this: After the shocking news took the internet by storm, BIG Hit entertainment was quick to react to the shocking news as they revealed that they would take the necessary action against the employee for stealing RM's personal info. ''Thank you bighit let’s hope this doesn’t happen again 😠'' the third user wrote.
Are you facing trouble while sleeping? Don't worry; we have you covered, and that, too, in the most musical way. A new study has revealed the best sleep-inducing music from some of the world's most renowned singers, which helps people fall asleep quickly and easily.

A study conducted by Aarhus University in Denmark has revealed that the music of some A-listers, including Billie Eilish and K-pop sensation BTW, Khalid, are helping people fall asleep.

In the study, in which they analysed over 200,000 songs and a Spotify sleeping playlist, the team found out that
there is not a "one size fits all" genre of music people play to fall asleep, as per the Post.

According to an email from an assistant professor at Aarhus University."It was surprising to see how many different types of music people use for sleep."

"Not only different genres but also different audio characteristics... range from slow, soothing instrumental tracks to more
energetic uptempo pop music."

While most people have a habit of listening to slower songs to fall asleep, the study shared in the journal PLOS One also reveals that there are some people who generally choose to listen to familiar songs to fall asleep.

Rebecca Jane Scarratt and her colleagues discovered that the type of music people listen to for sleep varies greatly, with many people preferring high-energy and tempo beats.

"In this study, we investigated the characteristics of music used for sleep and found that even though sleep music in general is softer, slower, instrumental, and more often played on acoustic instruments than other music, the music people use for sleep displays a large variation, including music characterised by high energy and tempo," the study authors shared.

With their study, the researchers were able to identify six distinct sub-categories of music that people listen to while sleeping. While three categories covered typical sleep music that most people tend to listen to, the other three featured louder and more energetic songs, and the tracks included in this category were BTS' 'Dynamite,' 'Lovely' by Billie Eilish, and 'Khalid.'

'Jealous' by Labrinth, 'The Scientist' by Coldplay, and 'Falling' by Harry Styles are also among the top sleep-inducing songs.

BTS member V (Kim Tae-Hyung) recently remembered a time when he received “exactly one letter” when he became part of the popular Korean pop band.

In an interview in 2018, V revealed that he read that letter over a dozen times and even showed it off around to his ‘hyungs’ (elder brother in Korean). He meant the other members of BTS here. Apart from Jungkook, all other BTS members are older than V.

V also spoke about the story of the saxophone, and how he started playing the instrument. He said, "I was so moved after watching a video of Danny Jung and started playing the saxophone for three years. However, I suddenly got interested in dancing and decided to take a different path. I quit only a bit after changing from the classic saxophone to a jazz saxophone so I don’t know if I’m still as good as I was before. But I think I played really well three years ago."

V made his debut as a BTS member in June 2013. So far, V has released three solo songs--Stigma (2016), Singularity (2018), and Inner Child (2020). Apart from being part of BTS, V has also done several solo projects as well.

On December 23, the photo of Jin wearing an army uniform was released by The Camp, a website for loved ones to stay updated with the Korean military, as per Soompi. Some photos and videos of Jin from the military camp have also gone viral on social media platforms.
South Korean pop star, V of BTS' song Christmas Tree was written for the soundtrack of the South Korean TV show Our Beloved Summer. The song was made public on 24 December 2021 with its release. V released Christmas Tree as an original soundtrack (OST) for the K-Drama and the song instantly became a hit topping many Billboard charts.

Story behind Christmas Tree lyrics?

V did not compose the lyrics to Christmas Tree, despite the fact that they are equally as lovely as the lyrics to his other songs. Instead, Christmas Tree was written by the song's musical director, Nam Hye Seung, with the idea that V would sing it. Nam Hye Seung worked diligently to ensure that the song touched on the same sentiments V created in his earlier solo works as she designed the soundtrack for Our Beloved Summer while listening to V's songs.

In a conversation with Weverse Magazine, V said that he was really grateful that Nam Hye Seung, the music director, wrote the song just for him. V also really appreciated that she listened to his music and understood his style from listening to just a few of his songs.

Christmas Tree, one of the top songs this holiday

Christmas songs have started to pick up the tunes in almost every household. Some of the songs are especially loved for their lyrics, singers and their performances. Mariah Carey’s All I Want for Christmas is still holding the charts strong on Spotify along with Wham! Last Christmas. K-Pop BTS's V is also topping the charts with his song Christmas Tree. Christmas Tree is making a cut. In addition to that, Australian singer Sia with her Christmas tune Smowman is also rocking the charts.

Christmas Tree by BTS' V Lyrics

At This Moment! I See You
Its Always Comes Around
This Happy Lift

When The Rain Stops
You Shine On Me
Your Lighting Only Thing
That Keeps The Cold Out

Moon In The Summer Night
Whispering Of The Stars
They’re Singing Like
Christmas Trees For Us

So I’ll Tell You
A Million Tiny Things That
You Have Never Known
It All Gets Tangled Up Inside

And I Tell You
A Million Little Reasons
Falling For Your Eyes
I Just Want To Be Where You Are

It’s Such A Strange Thing To Do
Sometimes I Don’t Understand You
But It Always Brings Me Back
To Where You Arе

So I’ll Tell You
A Million Tiny Things That
You Have Never Known
It All Gets Tangled Up Inside

And I’ll Tell You
A Million Little Reasons
Falling For Your Hearts
I Just Want To Be Where You Are

혹시 아니
너에겐 나만
아는 모습이 있어

한여름밤 오는 첫눈같이
믿기지 않는 기적
같은 놀라운 순간 넌
언젠가 또
불어온 바람에
마음이 날아다녀도
기다릴게

Tell You A Million Tiny Things That
You Have Never Known Loved
It All Gets Built Up Inside
Tell You A Million Little Reasons
Falling For Your Hearts
I Just Want To Be Where You Are

Christmas Tree, one of the top songs this holiday Christmas songs have started to pick up the tunes in almost every household. × Christmas Tree by BTS' V Lyrics At This Moment!
After J-hope and Jin, RM is the third BTS member to release a solo project. In his social media posts, RM revealed that he started working on the album years ago.

Indigo recounts "stories and experiences RM has gone through, like a diary". Speaking to Variety about the album, RM said, "I think before this album, I was always concentrating on wanting to prove something to people. Like, 'I just want to make you guys listen to this. I want to just share my thoughts. Please listen to this!' This time I was focusing on expanding my personal thoughts to something universal, so people can approach it and think it could be their own stories, too. When I made this, it was all mine.
