The 2018 Winter Olympics or PyeongChang 2018, is a major international multi-sport event scheduled to take place from 9 to 25 February 2018 in Pyeongchang County, South Korea.
The organisers of the upcoming Pyeongchang 2018 Winter Olympic games are warning spectators that they will face sub-zero temperatures during the tournament.
This year's Winter Olympic games may set a new record for being the coldest since the 1994 Olympics in Lillehammer, Norway.
The opening and closing ceremonies will be held at the roofless Olympic Stadium, a pentagonal arena that can accommodate around 40,000 people.
"We're advising everyone, asking everyone to take sensible precautions," said IOC spokesman Mark Adams.
More than 100 dignitaries are also expected to attend the opening ceremony, including South Korean President Moon Jae-in, US Vice President Mike Pence and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
