Car Vandalised

A car was vandalised in Uttar Pradesh’s Noida on the intervening night on Tuesday and Wednesday. The incident happened in Sector 19, stone’s throw away from Sector 18, the upmarket commercial hub of Noida.

The car with registration number - HR 26 BH 0562 - belongs to a journalist. The thieves may have tried to tow away the vehicle but failed as the gear lock was in place.

The unknown miscreants struggled to break the front windshield of the car and later smashed the driver seat's window, opened the bonnet and stole its battery.

A complaint has been filed against unknown persons at the Noida Police Station, Sector 20. An FIR is yet to be registered in this regard.

This isn’t the first time that such an incident has been reported. Vandalising cars and stealing of the same has been going on for quite some time in the area and police have failed to control the menace.

Last year, in November, an SUV belonging to a Supreme Court lawyer was allegedly stolen by four men who purportedly hacked the wireless network of the car.
