The start of Major League Baseball (MLB) game between the Arizona Diamondback and the Los Angeles Dodgers was delayed after bees swarmed the Chase Field in Arizona on Tuesday (Apr 30). The game was delayed by two hours until the local pest controller Matt Hilton arrived and removed the bees.
Just before the first pitch. a swarm of bees was spotted on the netting behind the home plate. The two-hour delay mostly was spent in waiting for Hilton and the stadium playing 'Let It Be' after asking the crowd to 'please bee patient.'

The Diamondbacks also released the statement on the situation and said: "The scheduled game between the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Los Angeles Dodgers has been temporarily delayed due to the presence of a beehive in the netting directly behind home plate at Chase Field. We anticipate that the game will resume promptly following the successful removal of the beehive by a professional beekeeper. Updates will be provided as soon as they become available."
After Hilton arrived, he sprayed the bees with something and vacuumed them up. Later on Hilton, the bee removal hero of the night, threw the ceremonial pitch of the game.
