India at Paris Paralympics, Day 3 full schedule: All you need to know

On Friday (Aug 30), India got off the mark in the medal-tally at the Paris Paralympics 2024 edition. Shooters Avani Lekhara (gold) and Mona Agarwal (bronze) made India proud in the 10m air rifle SH1 before Preethi Pal clinched bronze in the women's T35 100m race and Manish Narwal grabbed silver in the men's 10m air pistol SH1. With four medals already, the Indian contingent looks determined to add to their tally on Day 3, i.e. on Saturday (Aug 31).

There are some strong medal contenders in action on Saturday. Shooters Rubina Francis and Swaroop Mahavir Unhalkar willhave big medal hopes riding on their shoulders on the third day.

The day kicks off for India with the qualification and turn their attention towards the finals, if they qualify. In archery, Sheetal Devi and Sarita will be in action as they are advancing to the elimination rounds in the individual compound open event. Talking about badminton, Mandeep Kaur and Manisha Ramadass will aim to moveforward in the women’s singles, with Nitesh Kumar, Manoj Sarkar, Sukant Kadam, and Tarun eyeingto progress ahead in the men’s singles.

On the water, the likes of Anita and Narayana Konganapalle will compete in the PR3 mixed double sculls repechage round.
