Bangladesh opener Tamim Iqbal will lead the team as their regular skipper Mashrafe Mortaza has been ruled out of the Sri Lanka tour due to a hamstring injury.
Mortaza sustained a left hamstring injury during training in the nets, which turned out to be a grade one tear. The injury has ruled him out of action for between three and four weeks.
"Mortaza injured his left hamstring during training today," BCB senior physician Dr Debashis Chowdhury said in a statement.
"It is a recurrent injury that could take around three to four weeks to recover from. Therefore, he is ruled out from participation in sporting activity for a month."
