Minutes after giving India its first breakthrough by dismissing opener Sadeera Samarawickrama in the second innings of the third and final Test match on Tuesday, Indian paceman Mohammed Shami "felt uneasy"and called for medical help.
The right-arm bowler was seen holding his chest and started vomiting.
Although the exact reason behind Shami's illness is not confirmed, it is being widely assumed that itmight have happened due to the prevailing smog condition in the national capital.
Earlier in the day, Sri Lankan paceman Suranga Lakmal hadvomited on the field due to smog.
The Lankan team had stopped play thrice on Day-2 of the Test match on Sunday due to smog with several Lankan players wearing masks.
