At least 90 people have been killed in Bangladesh due to the fresh clashes between student protesters demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina andpro-government supporters, local media reported on Sunday (Aug 4)
The dead included 14 police personnel while 300 others have been wounded, police and doctors told the news agency AFP.Rallies that began last month against civil service job quotas have escalated into some of the worst unrest of Prime Minister Hasina's 15-year rule and shifted into wider calls for the 76-year-old to step down.
The interior ministry declared a nationwide curfew starting at 6 pm local time on Sunday.
