
A stunning timelapse video of Earth completing an entire rotation as the day moves from the start to the end has been recorded by the Himawari-8 satellite and shared on social media which left the netizens marvelled.
The footage provides a breathtaking view of the rotation of the Earth in space within a few seconds.
The footage was shared on social media platform X by the account @wonderofscience. In the post, it was said that the full day’s rotation of the Earth has been captured in which the planet is seen seamlessly transitioning from daylight to darkness.

The caption with the post read, “A day passing on planet Earth seen from 36,000 kilometres (22,000 miles) by the satellite Himawari-8."
The video was shot from an altitude of 36,000 kilometres and gives a stunning perspective of the daily cycle of Earth in which the sunlight was seen moving across the globe.
At one point, the Sun was casting light on one side of the planet while the other side moved into shadow.
The viewers were left in awe because of the visual splendour as many people commented about seeing mesmerising cloud formations and how the video showed a stunning interplay of light and dark.

"Earth is beautiful. Similar planet has not been found in the entire cosmos. Don’t let it get destroyed," commented a user, while reacting to the video.
"That's how fast it is?" another user said.
"Amazing to see the clouds forming. Only one of God's MANY beautiful creations," a third user commented.
"Wow! A day pass a lot quicker in space, doesn't it?" wrote a fourth user.
