In response to the country's attempt to claim places by renaming, India's MEA spokesperson, Randhir Jaiswal, said, "We have noticed that China has persisted with its vain and preposterous attempts to name places in the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh."
"Consistent with our principled position, we reject such attempts categorically. Creative naming will not alter the undeniable reality that Arunachal Pradesh was, is, and will always remain an integral and inalienable part of India," he further added.

When China released it's fourth list, India's External Affair's Minister, S. Jaishankar, said, "If today I change the name of your house, will it become mine? Arunachal Pradesh was, is and will always be a state of India. Changing names does not have an effect."

Meanwhile Noida region, which covers some western UP districts, was ranked 16th with 81.29 per cent. It is the second time in a row that the region was in this position, with a pass percentage of 80.27 last year.

The overall pass percentage of the CBSE Class 12 for this year is 88.39 per cent, a 0.41 per cent increase from the previous year&rsquo;s 87.98 per cent.

<h2>Prayagraj region at 15th place for CBSE class 10 result</h2>
The Prayagraj region has slipped to the 15th spot for the pass percentage in the CBSE Class 10 exam result with 91.01 per cent. Last year, the region secured the 11th spot with a pass percentage of 92.72 per cent, while in 2023, it was 92.55 per cent.&nbsp;
The Noida region has been ranked 16th this year with 89.41 per cent. The region was also ranked 16th last year with 90.46 per cent.

The overall pass percentage for this year of the CBSE Class 10 students was 93.66 per cent, a 0.06 per cent increase from last year&rsquo;s 93.06 per cent.
Sanyam Bharadwaj, CBSE controller of examination said, &ldquo;To avoid unhealthy competition among students, the board has neither declared a merit list nor has it awarded any divisions to its students.&rdquo;

All the 10 teams are having several back and forth discussions with their foreign players in regards to their plans of arrival in India a day after the IPL declared the new schedule after requisite security clearances from the government.

"We have been speaking to the foreign boards individually while teams are directly dealing with their players. We expect majority of them to return," a BCCI official told PTI on Tuesday.
CA has left it in the hands of the players to make their decision and in situations like these, the players' association has something to say.
Team officials, however, informed PTI that some of the foreign players are still eager to return but most of them should return prior to the resumption of the tournament.
"The revised scheduled was announced last night. We have just started contacting our foreign players over their availability. We will have a clearer picture by tomorrow morning. Anyway our game is on May 20. We have enough time," said CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan.
CSK foreign players are Devon Conway, Rachin Ravindra, Sam Curran, Jamie Overton, Noor Ahmad and Matheesha Pathirana.
<h2>Stoinis unlikely to return; Cummins set to fly back</h2>
At Punjab Kings, Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis and fellow countryman Josh Inglis won't be returning to India although head coach Ricky Ponting is doing his level best to persuade them.
Aussie countrymen Xavier Bartlett and Aaron Hardie and Afghanistan's Azmatullah Omarzai and South African Marco Jansen will return.
"The foreign players were scared at that time and understandably so. The BCCI showed the safety of the players is paramount by ensuring they all got back home safely. Now the situation has got better, the players should return. However, some of them still remain on the edge," said an IPL official.
Like Chennai Super Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad too are out of the tournament but the franchise is hopeful that captain <a href="https://www.wionews.com/tags/pat-cummins">Pat Cummins</a> and Travis Head will be back for the last three league matches. "We are hopeful that most of foreign players will be back including the captain," a team official said.

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has recently approved a fresh $2.3 billion package for Pakistan. Out of this, $1 billion will be given immediately under the Extended Fund Facility (EFF), and $1.3 billion will come through a new Resilience and Sustainability Facility (RSF).
India chose not to vote on the package, pointing to Pakistan&rsquo;s continued support for cross-border terrorism. 
This development highlights a recurring pattern: Each time Pakistan knocks on the doors of the International Monetary Fund, it arrives with the same pitch: economic distress, low foreign exchange reserves, and inability to meet its external obligations. Each time, the IMF responds with a package, structured, conditional, but ultimately forgiving.

But one thing remains consistent: Pakistan&rsquo;s military budget stays high, regardless of the economic condition or foreign aid it receives.

<h2>Military budgets remain high even during bailouts</h2>
From 1999 to 2023, Pakistan received more than $22 billion in IMF disbursements. These funds were aimed at stabilising the country&rsquo;s struggling economy and addressing balance-of-payments issues.
Yet in that same period, Pakistan spent over $180 billion on its military, often five to ten times more than the IMF money it got each year.
