Madhya Pradesh High Court on Wednesday (May 14) ordered registration of an FIR against state&rsquo;s tribal affairs minister Vijay Shah for his objectionable remarks against Colonel Sofiya Qureshi.
The MP High Court took cognisance of the matter and directed DGP Kailash Makwana to register a case against the BJP minister under sections 152, 196 1 (B), and 197 of BNS by today evening.

"I had reach a point in my career where I'd done most of what I'd set out to do," says Hall in an exclusive interview to WION. "After Paris 2024, I sat back and thought: Do I take another four years with Great Britain, or do I try something new and significant?" India provided the answer."
Supported by JSW Sports and Parth Jindal's vision, IIS has been spearheading private-sector investment in Olympic sport in India. Its mission is singular: Create world-class athletes, consistently and sustainably. And Hall's role? To lead the charge.
<h2>Building the Indian Olympic engine</h2>
India's Olympic experience has been an epic of disparate brilliance and not continuous success. Hall, however, doesn't care about the past &mdash; he's concerned with the future.&nbsp;
"India has the potential. It has the enthusiasm. But Olympic sport now is not just a matter of talent, but preparation," he says. "You are competing on science, medicine, coaching, facilities, psychology &mdash; it's a whole ecosystem."
"At IIS, much of that system is in place already. World-class facilities for gyms, nutrition laboratories, recovery rooms, and dormitory accommodations set the stage for serious elite preparation. But Hall was quick to point out: it's not sufficient to create a building. You must construct a system," he added.

Hall goes on to explain the process. "The first step is talent identification. In a country this big, there is ample talent out there &mdash; it's about locating it. Towards that goal, IIS is rolling out contemporary, digitally led outreach tactics, such as animated films on social media to describe routes to entry for emerging athletes."
Then comes elite coaching. Hall believes Indian coaching must embrace a mindset shift &mdash; from cautious to courageous. &ldquo;We need coaches who ask, &lsquo;What is possible?&rsquo; not &lsquo;What&rsquo;s been done before?&rsquo;&rdquo;
Crucial to the next step is sports science and medicine, an area where IIS already excels. &ldquo;The setup here is as good as I&rsquo;ve seen anywhere. It allows for data-driven, athlete-specific performance planning.&rdquo;
But the last, usually hidden piece is operations and logistics &mdash; how players get around, where they play, how competing schedules are coordinated. "Being well-organised on and off the field makes a huge difference in medal margins."
Another transformative component Hall is bringing in is performance psychology. &ldquo;We&rsquo;re in discussions with one of the world&rsquo;s leading sports psych firms,&rdquo; he reveals. &ldquo;They&rsquo;ve worked with Olympians, <a href="https://www.wionews.com/tags/premier-league">Premier League</a> stars &mdash; and they&rsquo;ll be helping our athletes understand not just how to perform, but how to prepare mentally for high-stakes moments.&rdquo;
"This will involve both performance-oriented psych support and lifestyle guidance, particularly essential for young athletes making the step up into elite sport," he explains further.
<h2>A new mindset</h2>
Hall is aware of the structural and cultural challenges. "A lot of athletes here still view sport as a way to a government job &mdash; in the railways, the Army. But we want to demonstrate that sport can be a career in itself for the long term," he said.
The success of athletes such as <a href="https://www.wionews.com/tags/neeraj-chopra">Neeraj Chopra</a>, <a href="https://www.wionews.com/tags/pv-sindhu">PV Sindhu</a>, and Lovlina Borgohain is already the proof that the model is working. The vehicle was carrying five persons belonging to one of the two main communities belonging to the ethnic clashes of Manipur. The mob then forcibly took away four of the five persons; one managed to escape. The bodies of three of the four persons were recovered later.&nbsp;

The ethnic clashes of Manipur, between the Meitei and the Kuki community, have resulted in the death of 260 people and injured thousands. The clash had resulted in the displacement of more than 50,000 people. These violent ethnic clashes have drawn significant scrutiny from the national and international community.&nbsp;
According to NIA, this set of arrests was part of a broader effort to dismantle the cycle of terror in the North-Eastern region of India. NIA had taken over the case from the Ministry of Home Affairs in February 2024.

In response to the country's attempt to claim places by renaming, India's MEA spokesperson, Randhir Jaiswal, said, "We have noticed that China has persisted with its vain and preposterous attempts to name places in the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh."
"Consistent with our principled position, we reject such attempts categorically. Creative naming will not alter the undeniable reality that Arunachal Pradesh was, is, and will always remain an integral and inalienable part of India," he further added.

China refers to India's Arunachal Pradesh as Zangnan. The ministry that issued the latest list, MCA,&nbsp;was quoted in news outlet South China Morning Post, "In accordance with the relevant provisions of the State Council on the management of geographical names, we in conjunction with the relevant departments have standardised some of the geographical names in Zangnan of China."
When China released it's fourth list, India's External Affair's Minister, S. Jaishankar, said, "If today I change the name of your house, will it become mine? Arunachal Pradesh was, is and will always be a state of India. Changing names does not have an effect."
Further adding, "Our army is deployed at the Line of Actual Control, they know what is to be done."

Speaking at an event in Indore district&rsquo;s Mhow on Monday, the tribal affairs minister Kunwar Vijay Shah, while lauding PM Narendra Modi&rsquo;s leadership over Operation Sindoor to avenge the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, said, &ldquo;Those who widowed our daughters, we sent the sister of the same &lsquo;katey-pitey&rsquo; log to screw them.&rdquo;
He added, &ldquo;They (terrorists) undressed and killed our Hindus. Now, Modiji couldn&rsquo;t have done the same, so he sent a sister from their (terrorists) society, to ensure that if you widowed our sisters, a sister of yours will come and undress (shame) you.
